I find blogging so far to help keep myself motivated
I just started blogging this week about different things in my life with weight loss and such - recipes, some observations and thoughts, etc. to keep my head in the game. Does anyone else do anything like this? http://journalofaroly-polyprincess.blogspot.com/

Getting your good cholesterol up
Hi All - Just came back from a check up and all my levels were good except that my "good cholesterol" was too low :( Doctor said to eat lean meats and such. I already do that. Any suggestions for specific types of food to add to get this number better (other than a generic answer like eat more fruits and veggies - already…

Calisthenics and using your own body
I've found out that I prefer using my own body weight as a strength training mechanism (even though I still use the boring machines). I do butt lifts, girly push ups, planking, and some other simple moves. What is YOUR favorite move? What website do you like? How do you personalize your workout? Looking for new ideas to…

Any law grads taking the bar in the summer? HOW AM I SUPPOS
All law students know that you have to put in (or so they say) 8-10 hours a day studying for the bar from the time you graduate until the bar (this year July 25, 26, 27). I plan on passing the first time. I also plan on losing about 5lbs during this time. I know I will not be able to work out often. It's going to be mainly…

Turn me on
During my run today, I found a new perspective on "Turn Me On" by David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj. Imagine your body singing this to you as a cry for help: Oh you make it right My temperature is super high If I scream, if I cry It's only 'cause I feel alive My body needs a hero Come and save me Something tells me you know how…

Post Graduation: Increasing Speed
Hello all. I am in the middle of week 7 so I am looking forward to graduating soon :) I am a VERY slow "runner" - about 4.0-4.5mph. I am proud I have the stamina now and I am looking for a plan post-graduation to increase my pace. Anyone know of a program or app that is like c25k? Should I just do c25k and instead of the…

My 5k playlist
I am the type that likes to have a good beat to run to but also to have messages in the lyrics to help keep me motivated because let's be honest after 10mins I want to quit. I don't, I keep going, and here is my list: 60 minutes (I added an extra song or two in case I feel like skipping a song) 1. Tailspin - Theme Song…

HRM band - Girl issues
I am going to be getting a Garmin Forerunner 405. My dad let me borrow his to try out. I put the HRM band on under my breasts like you are supposed to. I feel like it kind of interfered with my sports bra. The HRM picked up my heart rate but only a couple of seconds. I had to press buttons and mess around for it to get…
