I find blogging so far to help keep myself motivated

I just started blogging this week about different things in my life with weight loss and such - recipes, some observations and thoughts, etc. to keep my head in the game.

Does anyone else do anything like this?

  • I keep a personal, handwritten journal! I have a page per week, and I write down all my exercise (with small comments) and any NSVs or thoughts I have. This is REALLY helpful for me because, every time I binge, I write "why" I think I binged in my dairy. I decided to up my calorie intake based on what I was seeing. I also like my exercise notes because it helps motivate me to exercise when I don't feel "up" to it by helping me remember how awesome I feel after working out.

I also write down any motivational quotes I see, so I have easy access to them!

I am thinking about keeping an online blog with more detailed entries, especially recipes (so I can easily reference them later), but for now I'll just stick with pen and paper :)

    Really interested in this.

What is the best site to start a blog? Any cheap(er) websites?
  • I used to blog about what I ate all.the.time. And then I stopped. I think I did much better losing weight or at least maintaining when I was blogging. So I just started a new one.

    I'll check yours out too!

That sounds like a great idea. I have thought about doing the same thing, but I am not much for words. Maybe a "private" blog or an online journal would be more my speed. But I think it would be a great idea in order to keep me on track and help me see where I have been when I get where I am going. :)
