I start eating and have trouble stopping.
I use food to give me energy when I was very sick and still use food for the same reason even though I am better. It is now a bad habit. Any suggestions? I also eat to calm nausea which I can have frequently due to another illness.

Hyperthyroid and gaining weight!
I became hyperthyroid and I gained back a bunch of weight. Gained weight when hyperthyroid; not fair. I have been irritable and anxious and so eating, eating and can't stop. Dose lowered for synthroid and feeling better, but still trying not to eat all of the time. Anyone else gain weight when hyperthyroid?

just started cytomel, anyone else find it helps?
I just added cytomel. Dose of synthyroid reduced. At least I'm not over eating, but am not full of energy to say the least. I'm having trouble loosing weight and have stayed the same for over a month. I can't exercise a lot due to another health problem and add the thyroid and I've become a sloth...well kind of.…

Holiday freek out
6 macaroons. I was doing good. Even on vacation. But the taste of my once a year foods is calling too loudly. Yes, I know I am not a dog and Do not reward myself with food, But>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>suggestions? I have stopped loosing for about 3 weeks and need to get back on track!

Hair loss from hyperthyroid and or meds
I lost a lot of hair. A dermatologist suggested rogain for men. He said that would restore my hair. Anyone else have this experience. Any other suggestions? I want to look good when I loose my weight! Skinny with not enough hair does not excite me.

hypothyroiod or hyper or? Sleep apnea?
I went to the doctor sure I was hypothyroid....Well I was hyperthyroid. I had increased fatigue and generally had lots of 'bad days'. My medical doctor sent me to my pulmonary. My pulmonary doctor, thinking out of the box, sent me for a sleep study. I had SLEEP APNEA. Aren't I lucky. One more problem to add to my list, but…

It works!
Surgery, taking my synthroid before I eat with water (about an hour) and using the tools on this site really work! I've finally lost weight, well only 3 lbs. but that is huge considering I could not loose and only gain weight before 1/2 of my thyroid was removed last month.
