Lifting routine advice?
There are six lifts I love doing: Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press, Pendlay Row, Overhead Press, and Snatch. And I love going heavy with these. Frequently getting into 1 to 3 rep max range (actually following a Wendler style progression). Recently I've been doing one of these per day, with 4 follow-up/supporting lifts. But I…

Routine suggestions
Short Version Right now I'm lifting for about 45 - 60 minutes a day, 6 days a week. I'm thinking the lack of rest days is probably going to be detrimental in the long run. However, to get all the lifts in I want in fewer days, I would have to be working out for close to 2 hours. I'm thinking that amount of time at once can…

Squat critique needed
This is the second time I've stalled out approaching 315, so I figure there's probably something wrong with my technique. If anybody cares to check out any of these videos and give me some feedback, I would love it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3quzxctdv51woki/SquatAngle.3gp…

Change goals or no?
A bit of background: My goals are to do 315 lb squats before I leave home at the end of this month. I'm about 30 lbs shy. After that I was going to cut weight down to 205 (about 15 lbs) and try to do an Iron Man by the end of the summer. Yesterday while lifting I kinda hurt my abs so it prompted some research. I found out…

Last month was extremely successful for a number of folks as they found out they could do more than they thought possible.…

Super Saturday
Awhile back I challenged myself on the first Saturday of each month to burn more calories than I had on any single day up to that point. The first one was 1800 calories. I remember making the jump to 3000 calories one day. I was sooooo happy and proud. Couldn't believe it was possible for me to do. An interesting thing…

Mantras
I find when I am struggling it helps to have something inspirational to say to myself to help me push through that wall. I generally find there is a 30 second to two minute barrier when I want to quit that if I can just break past, then I'm good to go for much longer. So here's some things I say. Hopefully they will help…

What is Super Saturday?
Simply put, make a commitment to burn more calories on the first Saturday of each month than you have before. The only person you are in a contest with is yourself. Take all day if you need to. It doesn't matter. Sometimes time is restricted, so challenge yourself to a new exercise you've never done! Or burn more calories…

Temporary Relocation
I'm temporarily heading to Winslow, AR to shoot a movie. The nearest gym is over 30 minutes away. Anybody closer that has weights, ellipticals, etc I could rent access to for a couple weeks? I start there in mid Sept. Thanks!
