Tough Mudder- Austin 2012
I ran in the Tough Mudder this weekend for the first time. It was HARD!!! But, I have to say, if I hadn't gone into this with a fear of water (and I don't mean swimming in a pool) that it wouldn't have been as difficult. My training was basic: I ran, I lifted weights when I could, I did push ups, I did squats... What would…

Going out to eat
How do I accomplish eating raw when I go out to eat without drowning in boring salads day after day? I go out to eat every day at lunch, and that's something that I won't change because I need to get away from desk. Any tips?

Wasn't always fit...
This will probably bring out some negative comments, but here it goes anyways...I'm so excited that I've recently hit my goal weight. Running Shoes???
I'm almost due for some new running shoes and was thinking of trying out some Rykas. I've heard mixed reviews though. I saw some reviews that Rykas are better for the natural shape of a woman's foot, and some that disparaged the quality of the shoe. I currently wear Nikes and they're okay. No complaint about the quality,…

Kidney Stones
I ended up in the emergency room last week due to a 2mm kidney stone (calculus). There was no family history and I did not have any risk factors prior to actually having one. Recommendations are to change my diet by cutting back on animal protein and sodium among some other foods that are very healthy. Has anyone else been…

Sweet Alternatives
Can anyone recommend some healthy options to satisfy my sweet tooth? I love naturally sweet foods like fruit, but I really LOVE brownies and rich decadent desserts. I want to be able to eat those but I'd rather have a healthy alernative. Any ideas?
