I ran a full 30 minutes straight today! AND I didn't feel like dying when I was done! ALMOST up to a full 3 miles...maybe by next week! 5K coming up in 2.5 weeks!!

I'm Back!!!
FINALLY had a fantastic run today! A full 2.5 miles for 25 minutes. I can deal with 10 minute miles! The humidity was remarkably lower than on Wednesday. Back is still sore, but I definately have better range of motion and it feels decent. Going running on Sunday just so that I can enjoy running in COOLER weather! :glasses:

Amazing run this morning!
Had an AWESOME run this morning! Thankfully it was cooler than on Tuesday. But I ran for 12 minutes straight (little over a mile), walked for 3 minutes, then ran for 10.5 minutes (exactly a mile). I'm SO going to ROCK the Packer 5K in 5 weeks!!

I was on such a fantastic pace! Did I overdo it?? On Monday I only did 20 minutes whereas last friday I did 24:14. Today, I was only able to manage 16 minutes total, with 8 minutes of walking mixed in. Feeling pretty good...
today is technically W5D3 for me...and I ran further than ever! 2.5 miles for 24:14 minutes!! I'm totally psyched!! Also excited that my husband said he could tell my legs are getting smaller! WOOT!

My husband told me today that he could tell when I was getting dressed that my legs were getting smaller! Yeay! I could tell with my clothes that they were but now it's starting to be noticeable by someone other than me! :) I love running! :)

Runners...how far
would you drive for a race (specifically a 5K)? I just noticed that in November, there's something called the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k in Chicago, which is about a 5 hour drive for me. I have a friend who would run it with me, but it's still a pretty long way, right? Is this crazy??

Good run this morning!
Got up at 5:45 this morning to run. Yeay me! Ran 12, walked 2, ran 12. The second run was definately a struggle....not really sure why. Another 5K?
So...I'm a planner. Always have been. Used to drive my husband nuts (as a spontaneous person), until he saw the benefit of it. Anyway...I'm signed up for a 5K on July 28th and that is my current goal. To run the entire thing (however slow it is...). But now thinking...what then? Should I find another 5K to keep me going??

Struggling on my days off....
For some reaons, I seem to have a very hard time exercising (getting up at 5 am) to exercise on my non running days. Anyone else have this? I can usually talk myself into going for a walk at lunch or riding my exercise bike in the evenings, but I just can't get up early like I can for running! Help!
