Three Year Anniversary
Yesterday was the third anniversary of my commitment to my health. While I would love to share that I reached my goal in the first year and have been maintaining ever since, the truth is actually much more satisfying. Maybe it's something to do with the journey and not the destination adage, but the goals that I've picked…

I've Been Beating Myself Up
Warning, this jawn is long. I wasn't going to post this at all, let alone in success stories, because I'm still so far from where I want to be, and I'm mortified by my new habit of mirror selfies, but. I've been beating myself up lately. I started this journey in January of 2017. I started it, weirdly enough, because I had…

First Boxing Class Tonight - I'm TERRIFIED!

What has your diet taught you about yourself?
This is my third week officially logging and dieting; I've spent the past several months adjusting my diet to include more whole and home cooked things, trying to cut out or cut back on various things. I've found out that I don't really need meat. I never set out to be a vegetarian (wouldn't call myself one now) but I…

Do you compensate calories you burn in exercise?
Say you're sticking to a calorie deficit. If you burn an extra 200, will you eat an extra 200, even if you ate your allotment otherwise? Not sure what the best practice is there. Thanks!

Slow Progress... And still going! (few pics)
Well. Really don't know why I'm posting this, it's not like I really intended to drop weight... I'd yo-yo with exercising and dieting, but nothing has been steady .Bit of factual background... I'm 19, 5'10, and floating around 220. I hit my heaviest (250) just before college, which is the reason no photographic evidence…
