Slow Progress... And still going! (few pics)

Well. Really don't know why I'm posting this, it's not like I really intended to drop weight... I'd yo-yo with exercising and dieting, but nothing has been steady .Bit of factual background... I'm 19, 5'10, and floating around 220. I hit my heaviest (250) just before college, which is the reason no photographic evidence from that era exists.... I was an expert camera dodger.
This is highschool... Just before my heaviest, and long before I stepped on a scale.
I started to drop weight in freshman year, when I discovered that a Y-pass (YMCA) is built into my tuition... My school is too tiny for a gym of its own, but the Y is right across the street. One day my friend woke up me up because she needed someone to go with her, and most of her gym buddies were occupied. The Y and I became buddies that day.
Sophomore year I changed my hair, lost my Y-pass, and always found an excuse to not go... But my weight stayed pretty constant. The next semester I studied abroad in our school's Rome program. This was in the first week; I'm the blond in some pretty ill-fitting pants.
This day marks the first in years that I allowed myself to be photographed... and the photos to go up on the internet! This is still a bit thinner than I was in the first picture, and loads lighter than I was going into college.
All the activity of being abroad brought down my weight, despite the pasta and Nutella and gelato and wine! This is my nineteenth birthday... That's the Tiber in the background. I'm the blond on the left (apparently weight loss means a new haircut for me); the friend who brought me to the gym is on the right! My throat is bullfrogging like mad, but the silhouette is what counts, right?
This is a few weeks later, during a day trip to Florence... Thinner still. About two weeks after this picture I arrived home, to my full wardrobe, after living out of a single suitcase for three months, and found that the clothes that were snug before I left fit perfectly, or are too loose, and the clothes that fit are now swimming. I've still got a ways to go (it's time to sign up for a new Y-pass, and start taking advantage of this site!), but the real victory is I'm no longer so self conscious that I neither enjoy nor document the great adventures of my life. In the future, there will be more pictures! (And who knows what size I'll be in them?)
