Lower Body Strength Training?
Stupidly long story short: Broke my right elbow. Ortho says I can't use my arm to lift, push, press, balance, or pull. Any recommendations for programs/routines that will focus on lower body training? Either body weight or machine is fine. (I'm so-so cleared from a cardio perspective. No swimming or barre, but he said I…

Inconsistent newbie gains? Or lack thereof.
I'm confused. After seeing undesirable growth in my quads/glutes (I liked my pancake *kitten* before, and don't want a round butt -- I get that I'm an anomaly, and that's fine), and being incredibly triggered by needing to buy larger shorts/pants/none of my size 4s fitting anymore -- because having a size increase while…

Another Getting Back Into Running Thread...
At this point, I've been out for four weeks with a stress fracture. My ortho has said that if at my next appointment I'm pain free (so two more weeks), she will clear me to run small amounts -- starting out with 20 minute runs, then 30, then gradually increase from there as long as there's no increasing pain. Ideally, I'll…

Duck + sodium?
I feel like I'm losing my mind over this one. Is it possible for something to taste salty and carry the expected water retention that you'd see from eating something salty, without actually having the sodium in it? I don't cook with salt, and last night's dinner was just the duck + potatoes that were roasted in the…

Hypermetabolism?
I'm so confused right now. At my dietitian's urging -- I keep meticulous food logs, weigh everything to the gram (except for fish/meat, which is in ounces), and am active, yet have gone months without losing anything -- I had RMR testing done this morning. She suspected that due to years of an eating disorder (and never…

Negative Adjustment problem
This is a new one for me... Any ideas on how it's calculating a negative adjustment from the numbers shown? Based on my daily non-exercise step average above 4K, I adjusted to lightly active from sedentary -- largely because from my Watch, I was having to bring over so many (100+) calories to get MFP to reflect what the…

I did it!
I've had a lot of trouble with C25K. But today, after three weeks off, and after buying proper running shoes, I was FINALLY able to finish W5D1. I covered 2.2 miles in 34 minutes, and I'm very, very proud of me. And really wishing I'd bought running shoes back in September.
