HRM-TDEE=?
So I went for a 45min. jog/walk today and my HRM told me I burned 357 calories. Yahoo! But that got me thinking. If I was wearing my HRM during that time and just sitting around watching tv, I still would've burned some calories. So my question is... do you subtract your TDEE calories from the calories the HRM gives you?…

How much did you gain during reset?
I'm just starting and am curious what's a "normal" gain. Sorry if this topic already exists.

Terrified
Well the title pretty much sums it up. Over the last 2ish years I have lost almost 50 pounds eating low cal (1200-1400). I cannot seem to lose the last 5-10 pounds and it's driving me nuts. I want to give EM2WL a shot but I'm so scared. Just wondering... how long does a reset usually take and what should I expect to gain?…

Heart rate monitor
I'm wanting a HRM for Christmas and I was hoping for some advice on which ones are accurate and which ones I want to stay away from. Who would've thunk that I would want something fitness-y for Christmas. I guess I really am changing. Thanks!

Lifting heavy?
So I'm almost at my goal weight  but I would still like to lose a bit of body fat. I've heard that heavy lifting is great for toning, building muscle, losing fat, etc. My question is... What's heavy? Like 10 pound weights? Or 100 pound weights? I have no idea. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. Emily

Triceps
Since July of 2010 I have lost almost 50 pounds (3 pounds shy) However, I seem to have been unable lose much from my upper arms. I know that you can't lose weight in specific areas, but I'm at about 25% body fat, so I don't really have a lot more fat to lose. Do any of you have exercise ideas to help my triceps?…

How did you lose your weight?
Just out of curiosity, how did you guys lose weight/tone up? When I started out I ate 1400 calories a day and alternated 1 hr. of cardio with pilates. Since losing almost 50 pounds I have become lazy and mainly only eat my calorie goal, but I don't work very much. I don't want to be "skinny fat", I want to be "skinny fit".…

44 pounds gone!
So in the past couple of years I have lost about 44 pounds  I'm not quite at my goal yet, but I wanted to share my "beach body" progress. Before (16th birthday): Before (age 18): After: I'm still extremely self-conscious in a bikini. But I'm working on it

"Stop losing weight"
So I'm going to have a quick rant here. There's a lady I know and everytime I see her she asks me if I'm done losing weight because I don't need to lose anymore and I shouldn't. She also seems to be convinced that I'm going to develop an eating disorder if I don't stop with my weight loss. It's driving me up the wall. She…

Hello all
Hi there MFP-ers. I'm new here and just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Emily and I'm 20 years old. In the last couple of years I have lost just over 40 pounds, but I have gotten a bit lazy as of late and have been on a plateau for a while now. My parents actually found this website and now I'm on here too. What a…
