Just started running, could use some encouragement

sore arms, to work out or not
I did an arm workout on Wednesday. I really overdid. This isn't a regular sore, it hurts to straighten my arm out. I have been stretching, but that is it. Should I try to do a light workout, or wait until it doesn't hurt. I did take an Advil, that is not helping.

My bank gave me a free 1.5 quart crock pot. I used it a few times for pulled pork and love it. What size do I need? It would just be for my husband and I. I want to use it more often and I know i need a bigger one.

I need a different type of deodorant. I need something that is clear gel and will last. I use Secret, I'm fine with reapplying after a workout, but if I step a foot outside, it is gone. So what do you use that lasts?

Small successes tell me it is working!
I have been working out for about three weeks now and I am noticing a difference in my thighs. There is more muscle there. I'm starting to get more muscle in my calves. So yay! Time to do more squats!

Stretching before a workout?
My gym teacher always taught to stretch before a workout. I always have and do not feel as sore in the morning. I read somewhere that stretching before a workout is actually bad because it weakens the muscles. Any thoughts?

Caffeine
I need something to wake me up and keep me focused. I usually drink AMP, but I know that is so bad for me. I don't drink coffee because it does nothing for me and I use a LOT of sugar. Any suggestions?

Cheap and filling salad?
I am going to try and eat salads for lunch instead of hot dogs. What are some good salad ingredients? I also need a good salad dressing. I LOVE ranch, but I know how unhealthy that is. I do not like vinegar, so that is out.
