Calorie Burn Confusion
So I've just been for a 45 minute walk, and measured my pace at just over 3.5mph (10min per km). I used my fitbit, a step monitoring app, a heart rate monitor and checked the exercise on MFP. The heart rate monitor said I burned 327 cals, the app said 310 cals and MFP would only credit me 250 cals for this activity. Which…

CRUMPETS!! Message for the Brits
May I humbly recommend Asda Smart Price Crumpets as a low calorie, satisfying filler-upper. They are only SIXTY FIVE calories each, and very satisfying when you're hungry and that rice cake just ain't gonna cut it. Much better than many snacks you could reach for when the hunger pangs strike, and lower than any of the…

Travelling from UK to US - need advice!
I live in the UK and will be travelling to Minneapolis next April for a training event. Can anyone who lives there give me some advice on the best/most economical way to get from St Paul Airport to Comfort Inn, Plymouth? I have tried looking at the websites for train and bus travel, but can't make any sense out of them! I…

Spud U Like - any verified nutrition info?
I'm off out tonight with my bezzie for a delicious nutritious baked potato at SpudULike. I've searched the web and there's very little nutrition info to be found. I've also checked the MFP database, which very helpfully lists calories for an 'average' potato and lists the various fillings. BUT! The spuds in Spudulike are…

Fidgeting off the fat
I don't know about you, but I am a terrible fidget. When ever I'm sitting down, my feet are waggling, my legs are jiggling, and I'm always shifting to find a more comfortable position. I've recently discovered that I could be burning hundreds of extra calories a week by being a fidget - what a bonus!…

Do you use Adios?
Just found a bottle of Adios slimming tablets in the back of the cupboard. Was just wondering if anyone uses them / rates them as any good, or a total waste of money...?

How often do you adjust your calorie intake?
Having lost around 10lbs since I started with MFP, and having read that as you lose weight you need to adjust your calorie intake, I assumed that clever old MFP would automatically adjust my calorie intake for me. However it has remained the same from my original 172lbs to my current 161lbs, at 1200 calories daily. Can…

MFP has changed me...!
I don't know about you guys, but when I first started using MFP, my primary goal was just to lose a few pounds. I've regained weight I lost some years back, and thought I'd use this as a tool to take it off again. But now I've been here for a few weeks, I find that becoming fitter and making lifelong changes to benefit my…

Sooooo booooored
Ive been logging on for about five weeks, and have hit some kind of wall. I've never enjoyed exercise, but have stopped doing any now, so don't feel great about myself. I figured if I just eat within my calorie allowance I will still lose weight. Well guess what. I'm not. Also so confused with the apparent conflicts of…

Banking calories vs starvation mode
Heres one for you. Some people tell me I can undereat on my calorie allowance one day to 'bank' calories for the next (perhaps I'm going out for a meal). Others tell me if I undereat my calories my body will go into Starvation Mode and it will therefore be counter productive. What are your thoughts? And would I need to…
