'ideal' weight for 5 ft tall female?
I'm not actually sure how tall I am, I'm between 4'11-5'1", I haven't had an 'official' measuring in a long time. Anyway. I'm getting conflicting information. One website said 125lb is a good weight, one says 100lbs! According to Livestrong.com's method of checking, I have a larger bone structure. Any suggestions? Right…

My 500 day progress.
Long story short, I started gaining weight after getting treatment for a hormone problem when I was in my teens. I weighed 130ish lbs my sophomore year in high school, the last time I weighed myself before I got pregnant I was about 165lbs. Its been 500 days, and while I've only lost 21 lbs with MFP, I'm happy with what I…

Good indoor excercise 20-30min?
Hi guys, I'm looking for a good 20-30 minute exercise routine I can do indoors, that is low impact on the knees. Not interested in 30ds or ri30 at the moment as I've done them so many times I'm a bit burnt out. I used to go for 20-30 minute walks around my neighborhood but its gotten too cold in the evenings for me to want…

Whats your favorite squash recipes?
I really want to include squash in our family diet. I'm pretty excited, my daughter loves what little squash we eat now (chopped up in our stir fry) but my husband is very ..eh. So I'm asking for your delicious squash recipes to help me out! Pictures are great too. :3

Scale Victory! - broke my plateau
After stalling out since January (Yea.. that long.) playing with macros, calorie counts, thyroid meds, etc. I finally decided to track my WATER intake, instead of just assumeing I was drinking 8 cups a day. A little more research told me to drink an extra cup for every 25lbs I want to lose. So I went and bought a 1.4 liter…

Another NSV for me..
...I haven't had very many scale victories (I seem to be stuck around the same 3-4lbs, but still seeing other progress.) Yesterday I went shopping for some new workout shorts...I fit a medium at one store. Today I went garage saleing with my sister, and was fitting into mediums, and then.. lord have mercy... ...I fit into…

NSV I noticed yesterday...
So I moved my full length mirror into our bathroom so I could 'check my progress' ;) Anyway.. As I was looking, I noticed... my gut no longer hides my c-section scar. In fact, my gut rests a good 3 inches above it now! This is gross, but I used to have to lift up my belly to see my scar. Gross, but so awesome. Gives me…

Grr Body fat%.
So, I am 7 months postpartum, and suffering from an attack of the lingering belly jiggle. For those who have had a baby, I hope you know what I'm talking about - where it doesn't quite feel like fat, it just.. loosely jiggles. If that makes sense. Don't get me wrong, I know there is fat in there, which is why I'm using MFP…

Is a 1/2lb every two weeks an 'okay' loss?
So, I only have about 7-16 lbs (Depends on how I feel when I get to those goals) left, but I've gotten to the point that I'm only losing about a 1/2lb every two weeks. Is this an okay rate of loss? Should I be changing things up so that I lose more? I am losing inches slowly as well. I think maybe 1" every month to month…

Today I cried with happiness - NSV
I don't often cry with happiness. The birth of my wedding day, the birth of my daughter, etc. But today I cried in happiness. After being at a stale mate with the numbers on the scale, they finally started moving again, slowly, but moving. I was however losing inches of my waist, but that number was still getting me down.…

JM's 6 week 6 pack - how to log/Good heartrate monitor?
...yea, another question about how to log Jillian. I did a search of the forums and nothing came up. I logged 30 day shred, and ripped in 30 as circuit training, but after doing one workout of the 6 week 6 pack, there isn't as much cardio, and I'm wondering if its still a good idea to log it as circuit training, or if I…

Low carb lunch ideas?
Normally for lunch every day I have some sort of sandwich, be it peanut butter and jelly, turkey, or a grilled cheese. I realize these aren't the best of options, and need some ideas as to better lunches to eat in order to help my healthy life style. But I'm stumped! I'm looking for lunches between 300-400 calories,…

NSV: Seeing photos, and actually liking it.
So, last Christmas I was 25 weeks pregnant, and had started my pregnancy about 40lbs overweight. Every Christmas since I was probably 16-17, I have hated how I looked in Christmas photos. This year? I finally liked what I saw in the photos :) (See my profile pic). Its like its own Christmas gift to myself. :)

Small NSV...My bra!
So, right after I had my daughter I decided enough was enough and bought two bras from Victoria secret (Don't worry, I didn't pay full price! Thank god for gift cards from family and their semiannual sale.. ;) ) Anyway, I went in and bought and got sized, and was told I was a 36D. Well, I knew I was a 38, but .. they…

Which Jillian Michaels DVD next?
Hey guys! I'm on the last 10 days of the 30 day shred right now, and I really would love to go with another Jillian Michaels DVD. I live in a small apartment, with no room for equipment, and no $$ for a gym, so they work amazing. Plus I can't ignore the results I got from the 30ds. My question is, is after I complete the…

Good workout for those with herniated disc?
Hey :) I'm trying to get my husband on board with getting fit, and he's determined that because he has a herniated lower disc, he can't do stretches/Squats, etc. Any suggestions? He says he would try P90x, but I'm afraid he'd hurt himself. :C

How do you log 30 day shred?
I'm just curious to see the different ways people log Jillian Michaels 30 day shred? I'm going to be starting it tonight and looking for a good way to calculate the exercise :)

Gazelle Glider = elliptical?
So, I'm poor (duh, or I'd buy a real elliptical..)and found a gazelle glider for $20. I thought, what the hell. Got it home, and did 60 minutes on it. I felt like I did a workout, but broke only a light sweat. My problem is, I have been entering it as an elliptical trainer. I think this is OVER calculating the calories I'm…

Eatting back calories.. do I have to eat them all? :C
So, I'm on a 1200 calorie diet, which I know its important to eat that entire 1200 calories to make sure I'm getting enough fuel for my body to work out. My question is, I'm doing about 600 calories of working out. By the end of the day I'm netting about 1300-1400 calories (Well under the 1800-1900 I'm 'allowed' after…

NSV!!
So, at work we have a spiral staircase thats the length (Height?) of a normal staircase. About 15/16 steps. They are extremely steep, like most spiral staircases. Before I started MFP, I'd get about half way up and get winded, and feel exhausted. Today I ran up that Mofo like I owned it. My NSV: Conquering that staircase!

Rough week, need encouragement.
So last week went fabulous. I lost 2lbs, worked out every day - and worked out HARD. Friday and Saturday I worked out the hardest I ever have (2hrs each day). Thursday I had started having small heart palpitations, that lasted a few seconds, left me a little out of breath, and made me anxious. So I called my Dr. and made…

Calorie question?
So, my daily goal is 1200 calories a day. I'm 5ft, 149lbs. I've lost 8lbs so far. Now, the first few weeks I was hardcore ALWAYS at or within 2 points of 1200. However, this last two weeks I've kinda had motivation issues, and start out REALLY strong the first half of the week, then the second half end up going a bit over.…

Help/Suggestions?
I've been doing a 1200 calorie diet for about a week and a half now. I'm 5', and currently 155lbs. I've been dropping the weight well (about 3lbs lost total now), but I have a problem. Every day, between meals, I get very dizzy, and light headed, and get a horrible headache. It only happens after I haven't eaten for two…

..Found a used Fitbit - help!
Recently at work a fitbit showed up in our lost and found. I left it there for a month, and no one claimed it, so managment said I could have it. However, I have no idea how to use it! All it is is the fitbit itself, so what do I need to buy to make it something I can use? A chargeing base? Do I need to download any…

Excercise suggestions?
I live in an apartment close to a park, and could go for walks daily, but its been incredibly hot and so dry that the trail at the park has been kicking dust making my LO cough :( So I stopped. I need something low impact. I have bad knees, and had a C-section that still hurts badly when I do anything that puts strain onto…
