Mind tricks to help your work out?
HI all, I was on my run this morning and, as I normally do, was thinking about all manner of things. One of the things that crossed my mind is what mind tricks people play on themselves to ensure they have a successful workout.. Mine for example is that I tell myself my legs are machines, and not really part of my body,…

Acrylic or glass mirror for gym - Any experience?
HI there, Looking to fit a floor to ceiling mirror in my home gym and trying to find out pros and cons of each. I know acrylic is arguably safer and wont shatter, but Ive also heard it warps and is liable to scratch easily. Does anyone out there have experience and wisdom that they could share with me before I go and make…

Anyone have any idea why if I add any exercise as 1 calorie mfp reduces my remaining allowance ? I.e i had 1100 calories remaining. I added 1 calorie for 90 mins of weight training and it reduced my remaining allowance to 900. Seems odd? Fyi - i am also ogging using a Fitbit as well, but the 1100 was after Fitbit had taken…

Body fat monitors and ingunial crease
Hi all, A quick query about body fat monitors and ingunial creases. I have a weight watchers electronic scale at home, it measures weight, body fat and hydration. Ideas for a reward when I hit target
Hi all, I read on someone elses profile that they had a few rewards in mind for when they hit various milestones. Advice on iron intake..?
Hi all, Ive been losing weight steadily for the 82 days I've been logging on MFP, so am absolutely over the moon to have found this site/app. One thing I've noticed is that my iron intake is often a fraction of my RDA and therefore I have started taking an iron supplement (14mg a day versus my RDA of 8mg as a 35 yr old…
