Essentials for home gym?

Hi all,
I'm converting my garage into a home gym and am interested in people's opinions on what equipment they would have if they could only have a small number of items? My current aim is to lose weight, which I'm achieving through calories deficit and cardio. I'm looking to get a similar physique to brad Pitt in fight club, lol, I can wish... And would welcome views on what equipment is essential. I'm thinking treadmill, cross trainer, bench or cage and a heavy bag.. I don't really have any more space for anything else, but would you recommend swapping anything out?
Completely new to this so all advice or opinions welcome.

Power rack with pull-up and dip apparatus and an adjustable bench. I would personally opt for bumper plates rather than iron to start with and add more iron later. Maybe some lighter plates in iron. I would build an Oly-platform.0

Power rack and adjustable bench with a full set of Olympic weights will get you a long ways. After that I would get a nice set of adjustable dumbbells.0
