Strength or Cardio?

So I hear everyone talking about using a HRM, I'm thinking about getting on for Christmas. Just wondering what other's experience have been using them & are they accurate? & which one would you suggest using? Thanks in advance :)

Need help with calories..?
OK, my question is, in order to lose weight I know I should eat all of my calories, but should I also eat back my exercise calories? Some say yes & some say no, is eating back the exercise calories making my workout pointless? I'm new to the whole counting calories & would just like some advice. Thanks :)

When will it stop hurting?
Ok I started doing the 30 day shred on Monday & today is day 4. Along with that I've been walking 40+ minutes a day, I walk my daughter to school. Just wondering when my muscles won't be so sore anymore? & I've been eating right & my weight hasn't gone down at all...any advice or suggestions would be appreciated..Thanks :)

I'm at 270lbs & I'm starting with walking..I'm just so out of shape & don't think I could get down & start doing crunches & push ups & all that.
