OK, so my question is what kind of exercise did you start doing at first? I'm at 270lbs & I'm starting with walking..I'm just so out of shape & don't think I could get down & start doing crunches & push ups & all that. ( I could never do push ups when I was skinny at 140lbs..) So anyone else that started off pretty heavy like me, how did you get into an exercise routine? I would like to try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, but think I'm too overweight to. I just had my 3rd baby almost 3 months ago, & still have 30lbs to get off before I get back to where I was before I had him & once I get there I have 50 more lbs to get back to my very 1st prepregnancy weight. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Should I just get the video & attempt it or wait till I get to my 1st goal of 240 & then start there? Thanks in advance:)

You can actually see all her stuff on You Tube. I watched it and almost had a heart attack sitting in my chair watching it. Have a look at it on you Tube...save buying the video0

Walking for the first few months, then strength training + walking... and eventually sprinting/running.
Nothing wrong with walking.0 -
I'm 5'3" and started at 270 too. I always took Zumba classes and used the elliptical, since treadmills make me dizzy. I don't think youre ever "too big" for something unless you literally can't fit on a machine. Take it easy and get your body used to moving at first, then push yourself more. Crawl before you run. Literally. If you want to try 30DS, do it!0

Thanks Everyone:)0

Do what you can, and what you enjoy for now. Once you get to know exercise, and your body, a bit better, you'll discover what you're into and what is best for you. My one suggestion for EVERYONE who is able is to do some form of resistance training along with whatever walking, Zumba, marathon running, dog-sledding- whatever you're doing0
