Kidney stone diet
Has anyone here had kidney stones (10/10 don't recommend)? I had my first one last week and had it surgically removed. It was the most excruciating painful thing ever. I think it was caused by dehydration (I'm chronically dehydrated and get IV fluids every week) but I definitely don't want to get one again so what foods…

Hypercalcemia (high blood calcium)
Anyone have hypercalcemia without having issues with your parathyroid or cancer? I'm chronically dehydrated because of health issues that increase my fluid requirements but at the same time make it difficult to intake/retain fluids. My calcium has been above the limit for at least a year that I know of. I'm on tube…

Gaining weight with serious GI diseases
As y'all probably know, I am very underweight (105 lbs at 5'8) because of gastroparesis, Crohn's and malabsorption. My intake by mouth is very limited (low fat and low fiber) and I get most of my calories through my jejunostomy feeding tube. I get 1980 calories a day via my j tube plus whatever I get by mouth. My weight…

Any fit tubies (those with feeding tubes)?

Currently I am walking (I just got out of the hospital after an 88 day stay-including a blood infection and a bowel obstruction) so I can't do much yet but…

GP kicking me in my non existant rectum
I have been having a very bad time digesting this weekend. Pain is a 8 at least. I would have went to the ER but from past experiences I know it's pointless as "there's nothing more we can do about your gp". Ivr been begging for a tube but my GI is ultra conservative. Grrr frustrated.

A new weight loss procedure- freezing vagus nerve grrrr
So there is a bariatric dr in the states that is doing a clinical study on and promotes freezing of the vagus nerve so that obese patients will never feel hungry and therefore eat less. This makes me angry. It's crazy that a dr would cause a patient to have gastroparesis on purpose. That's playing with fire.
