vegan pregnancy
Has anyone gone through a pregnancy as a vegan? I'm pregnant with my first and am trying to stay true, but have been craving the ever-so-hard-to-shake cheese. The fake stuff just doesn't cut it. Thankfully I'm allergic to dairy, so I have an extra incentive to avoid it.

9-month injury
Whelp, I'm pregnant. I've been off skates since late October. I miss my skates and teammates. However, I'm very excited to bring a future Merby player into the world. :) If I couldn't my husband on skates, at least I can hope the kiddo will follow my example.

Non-profit events
Our league is a non-profit, so we participate in many fundraising and promotional events to support the community. We're going to the Phoenix Children's Hospital tonight to set up a Christmas tree for the kiddos. What does your league do?

Travel Workouts
Since the holidays are upon us, I was wondering if anyone has a specific travel workout that they do? I tend to walk the dogs (all my family members own at least one dog), basic yoga moves in the morning, and the pre-derby practice workout (lunges, squats, jumping jacks, jumping the line, push-ups, ab work, etc.).

Veg*n derby girls
Are there any vegan/vegetarian derby girls in this group? Any straightedge girls? I'm trying to transition from veg to vegan. Plus I'm drug-free/straightedge, which can be difficult in the derby community. :grumble:
