  • @mycrazy8plus - BTW I love your pic!
  • Baby Boy is jumping around every 2 am now that I'm in my third trimester. Week 26 :)
  • Thanks. I do take the DEVA prenatal and I made some cashew cheese this weekend. It's okay, but I think I just need to tweak it a bit.
  • Thanks for the advise. I thought of that last night after I posted this and discovered that I'm really low on the fat content, which is excellent for when I wasn't pregnant and trying to lose those last 10 lbs, but not now. Apparently Baby Boy wants something fatty. I'm adding some avocados and more nuts to my diet today,.
  • My endurance went through the roof when I started swimming. That's what I used to suggest to all of my girls I coached on the fresh meat team.
  • I'm due July 24th with my first. :D

  • Hi there, I had the same fear because I've worked so hard to get my weight to a healthy level. Fortunately my husband has been good about reminding me that the weight I gain now is to make sure our baby is going to be healthy. Just remember, now that you have the good habits, the baby weight will come off easier. :)
  • It's good, but I found that RAW Protein is cheaper and has more protein. I usually wait until it goes on sale and then use a $5 off coupon at Whole Foods.
  • We have much love for our Phoenix Rattleskates here in AZ: http://www.phxderby.com/
  • Cool, thanks for making the group. I joined. :)
  • I've found that there's a lot of expectations on how I should dress or act - like I'm supposed to be a super crunchy hippy type.
  • Thanks so much for the input! I'll check out your business as well as some others.
  • Thanks for the input. :)
  • BUMP! Yes! This sounds like a great solution - use the diaper wipe solution on pieces of cloth that I can buy from the fabric store. Has anyone tried it yet?
  • BUMP! We definitely are going to use cloth diapers, but I'm still researching the brand. I'm leaning towards an all-in-one tongue style. I just don't want to deal with stuffing and inserts. If anyone has brand suggestions, I'm open to them.
  • BUMP! I didn't know it was supposed to ease the birthing process. That's awesome! I was drinking it to get pregnant (it helps balance hormone levels) and as part of my bedtime routine because it's a good sleep aid.
  • BUMP! Wow, this is the first I've read of someone endorsing the hypno-birthing. My doctor suggested checking it out, but I was skeptical. Has anyone recently tried it?
  • BUMP! I was having a problem sleeping through the night. I found that rubbing lavender oil on my feet and drinking a nice herbal tea before bedtime seems to help. Anyone else?
  • I agree with both what Lisa and Tara said previously. It's important to make your significant other feel included. Make special date nights (or afternoons if you can't stay up late), always ask how he's doing, include him in the planning and picking out the baby stuff. My man wants to be included in everything - even the…
  • I've been having trouble with this too, but I just came back from the doctor and she reassured me. As long as my diet is nutrient-dense, she says it's all good.
  • ^^ Exactly. My doctor and trainer told me the same thing. I was swimming, practicing yoga, lifting weights, and playing roller derby before I got pregnant. I obviously can't be hitting girls on skates anymore, but my doctor said I'm allowed to skate until I start feeling unsteady (probably third trimester).
  • Fruit mostly. I'll wake up in the middle of the night and want pineapple, apples, strawberries, etc.
  • Good morning ladies! I'm due July 30th with my first. My husband and I are very excited! I wanted to join this group because I'm still working out and want to have the healthiest pregnancy possible. Some basic stats: Age: Hubby and I are both 33 years-old. Occupation: 7th Grade English Teacher Weeks In: 17 Diet:…
  • I've found that I need to skip Insanity on the days I go to practice. I do a quick flow yoga routine in the morning instead. I've also found that I need to take a rest day to avoid injury. I overworked my muscles trying to do it all and really hurt my back, neck, and arm. I wouldn't suggest skipping any of the workouts in…

  • I'm Mean Deneen - Deneen is my middle name and when I was in trouble, my mother would scream, "Mean Deneen get your @ss in here!" I like to tap into that mean, bullying behavior on the track. ;)
  • I have a simple shake - either Garden of Life Raw chocolate protein and almond milk or Garden of Life Raw vanilla protein and orange juice (with crushed ice it tastes like an Orange Julius). I typically drink this in my car on my way home because I don't like to eat, but know I need some protein to help my muscles recover.
  • Awesome. Thank you!
  • Hubby and I relied on this blog for dining ideas: http://thevegasvegan.blogspot.com/ Also check out Yelp. I remember eating at Tao while in the Venetian once. Typical Asian fare, but tasty. We really just made do at wherever we stayed and people were accommodating. I do remember Ronald's Donuts though. Vegan donuts? What a…
  • I agree. It's quite possible that you have a soy or wheat allergy that is making you bloat a/o gain weight. Try using more nuts, beans, legumes instead of fake meats; it's easier on your system. Many of those items are over-processed and are just as bad as deli meats.
  • So when did you start Insanity?
