Looking for young people who can share?
I have a teenage son who is overweight (obese by bmi) and is struggling to be healthy and lose the weight. We are working on it together as a family but I think sometimes it's hard for him to "get it" when it's coming from his parents. Is there anyone here teen/early 20's that would be willing to share your story/pictures…

Running Sneakers
I live 5 hours away from a store that could analyze my running and make recommendations on a proper running sneaker. So in the absence of that, how does one go about choosing a good running sneaker? Figuring exercise?!
I have a job that keeps me on my feet and walking almost non stop. I decided to wear my pedometer one day to track just how much I had walked...so over the course of a 7 hour shift, I had walked almost 10,000 - so close to 5 miles. I work 3-4 days per week and some days 4 hours, some days up to 7 or 8 hours. If I had to…

Body Size/Weight?
I am about 5'7.5" inches tall....I honestly don't know what my frame would be as I've been overweight since about 4th grade. Back then I remember weighing 140lbs. So recently I've had numerous people tell me I'll never get to "x" amount of weight as that's just not me. For example, my primary care Dr. (who has known me 4…

What has your surgeon/dietitian told you?
I am a little curious about what others who have had gastric bypass have been told regarding some of the "big" (in my mind at least lol) issues after surgery. So...here are a few questions: 1. When was your surgery? 2. Where from? (don't need to specify city or anything just general state or country is fine) 3. Your…

Sleep Apnea & CPap Machine
I was diagnosed last Nov with sleep apnea - I've been using a CPAP ever since. However, since the surgery I struggle to use it. I wake up with my mouth open and so dry that I can barely swallow and I struggle to get a drink of water in. I never was like that before surgery. I sleep better now without the machine. Anyone…

Low Blood Sugar
Prior to my surgery (8.28.12) I was prediabetic. My numbers have been in the 90's now - normal. (Hubby is diabetic so I use his meter to check once a week or so.) Lately, I've been feeling wicked tired, kinda "foggy", overall just blah, at times even a bit shaky. I took a reading this afternoon and was at 75. I am going to…

Is there something wrong with me?
I have numerous friends/relatives that have had weight loss surgery of some sort, be it the band, sleeve or gp.
