Should I trust MFP's calorie burn calculations?
So I spent 40 minutes on the elliptical this morning. The machine said I burnt 402 cals, but when I logged it into MFP it said I burned 647. I'm just over 240lbs at the moment, and the the few times I did hold still for the handlebars, my heart rate reading was around 150-160 ( I just spend the last 3 months recovering…

Thinking of going up to Moderate?
I have been eating around 1800 calories per day (plus whatever I burn off at the gym), as that was the recommendation for Light activity. I chose light because I do 40-60 minutes on the elliptical 3x a week. But does your day to day life matter? I am a handler at a dog daycare where I spend 6 days a week constantly on my…

Compulsive eaters?
Looking for friends who currently or used to struggle with compulsive/binge eating. (Please be gentle with the responses, as I'm about to be way more open than I'm usually comfortable with... Also, I'm not the best writer, so I apologize if it sounds really jumbled.) I've had this problem as far back as I can remember and…
