Gastroparesis vs Food Addict
Trying to manage a new diagnosis, gastroparesis. Go figure a food addict like me would get this idiopathic diagnosis. I don't fit into any "typical" patients. Mainly diabetics are diagnosed due to underlying neuropathy. But I have no reason. And why would it just come out of nowhere? I am open to suggestions on how to…

A Day Filled With Victories!

Nordic Rider
I know that this is an ancient machine but I bought one today at a yard sale for $10. I figured for that price I really couldn't go wrong. Besides, its from Nordic Track and we all know that they have awesome fitness equipment. But I'm not really sure how to log my time on it. Should I use low-impact aerobics? It does get…

Time for new clothes...
Today I went shopping and I practically bought a whole new wardrobe. I have nothing but sportswear in my closet, since that seems to be the only thing I wear these days. Subway nutrition...YOUR WAY!
I really hate it when you go to subway.com and have to choose THEIR nutrition values. Plus, they never seem to have the newer items on there. But if you go to http://www.SubwayFreshBuzz.com you can build your own sandwich AND they even have the new items. YAY!

Quitting smoking...what I found is working for me
I have been a smoker since I was 17 yrs old. I've tried to quit a thousand times. I just know that it is so bad for you but yet the whole "act" of smoking is what is most addicting (for me). Last year I used the Chantix with great success...except that I found I was substituting food for cigarettes and gained several…

Broke thru the 200 pound barrier!
I started MFP on 10 January 2011, I weighed in at 211.2 pounds. It has been 4 weeks and I have lost nearly 13 pounds (198.6 lbs). I made sure to log all my foods (even the ones I'm not so proud of). I slowly started jogging every day. At first it was only 10 minutes, but I increased my time gradually. Now I can sometimes…
