Liquid Stevia flavors
So I go over my sugar limits every day, mostly due to the amount of sugar in my preflavored Greek yogurts. I just read an article that said liquid Stevia is the #1 best sugar substitute, so I bought some to start sweetening plain Greek yogurt. I'm wondering if anyone has used the flavored forms of liquid Stevia, and which…

Fitbit vs. HRM
My HRM is on the outs and my DH has graciously used his birthday gift cards to Amazon.com to purchase a Fitbit for me. While I LOVE the concept of the Fitbit and that it syncs with MFP and RunKeeper, I'm concerned that since it does not track heart rate, I won't get as accurate a count on calorie burn during workouts as I…

Wonder 80 Calorie Buns
So for years I bought Sara Lee 80 calorie buns, but then Wonder jumped into the market and offered a similar product for considerably less ($1.99 vs. $3.49). We've had good luck so far with the hot dog buns, but twice now the hamburger buns go moldy super fast. We bought the last bag last Saturday (with a sell by date of…

What's for dinner?
I love getting other people's ideas for recipes when I get stuck in a rut, and also love sharing the goodies I've found. I'm making Thai Chicken Wraps tonight from Spark Recipes. So good, even DH loved them! http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=534389 What are you having?

What have you learned about yourself?
When I was growing up, there were 5 in our family, so my mom always made a main entree and 2-3 side dishes, usually including at least one fruit/vegetable and a starch or bread. When I moved out and lived by myself, I was trying to cook the way mom did, but quickly found that I didn't need nearly that much food. For…

Almond Milk?
So I just bought Almond milk (original flavor) for the first time...I'd seen it some recipes for Overnight Oats, so I bought it. I like the flavor, but it's definitely different. I'm intrigued by the fact that is has less calories, less sugar, more calcium, more Vitamin D than regular milk (even skim)...and my dad says it…

Sweet Snacks
What is your go-to sweet snack? Sometimes, after I've had a pretty good stretch of eating really well, I'm just craving something sweet. I'm sucking on a 60 cal Tootsie Pop right now.

Healthy Banana Bread?
I have two over ripe bananas sitting on my counter...does anyone have a healthy recipe for banana bread or muffins (I'm thinking muffins may do me better for portion control).

Green Smoothie Recipes?
I have been hearing a lot about Green Smoothies lately, so I just bought a big thing of baby spinach from Costco. Anyone have a good recipe to share? I also have frozen strawberries, frozen tropical fruit blend, skim milk, bananas, an apple, cuties, and ff yogurt I could use. TIA!

Calorie Confusion
I have my daily activity set to 'lightly active' since I'm a teacher and stand/walk all day. It says that I burn 2200ish calories in normal daily activity, so it sets my daily calorie target around 1200 to have the 1000 calorie deficit needed for a 2 lb. loss each week. However, I wore my HRM all day today, and from…

Nutritional labels are wrong...great!
Just saw a news report that NI isn't always accurate, especially at restaurants and in frozen foods. Frozen foods averaged 8% more calories than stated and restaurant meals averaged 18% more calories than stated. Guess I won't buy any more frozen lunches... Recommendation: cook your own food at home

New to MyFitnessPal
Hi, My name is Tammie and I am 29 years old. I just got married in June. I have tried other weight loss programs and have had success (went from 231 to 175), but after meeting my now husband and just getting tired of trying so hard, I've gained quite a lot back. I found this on the iPhone app store and want to give it a…
