Literally Starting Over - Frustrated!!
Just need some encouragement today!! Last year this time I started tracking faithfully on MFP and exercising. Did great losing 23 lbs. As soon as spring came along it went down hill. I've gained all but 5 lbs back. My mindset is awful like why bother -but then again I know I did it before and can do it again. My biggest…

Anyone complete Jillian Michaels 90 day Body Revolution
Hello, I am extremely overweight and have been doing a clean eating program along with MFP for two weeks now. I started the Jillian Micahels 90 day Body Revolution today. I decided to do it since it is in phases and figured I would gradually get stronger as time goes by. Has any tried this and had success? Please share any…

Vacation Plans
Now that it's summer and many are going on vacation how do you plan to stay on your journey? I just got back and I will admit it was tougher than I thought. At the beach where there were way too many buffets. For the most part I ate veggies first. They were all slathered in butter.... The whole thing was yucky. Glad to be…

Happy Monday everyone. I'd like to get some feedback to help determine how we can get more group feedback. Is this group helping you in any way? If so please share how. If not, please participate and share what else we can do to help each other. Perhaps post a new topic - what's been a challenge - a success? More than…

How is the weekend going?
Given that it's our "first" holiday weekend of summer and all of the BBQs, parties, etc . how are you handling it? Since I'm out of town I went for an hour walk early. Saturday was a bit of a challenge but I planned today a bit better. Went to the store and purchased a few healthy items. I swear my friend's kids eat only…

Week 1 - Check in
How did your first week go? Successes? Challenges? Non-scale celebrations? The past week went well for me. I ate as I should, exercised as I should and I'm finally figuring out what foods keep me filling fuller longer. I weighed and measured and decided to reset my weight and measurement in MFP. I joined a killer boot camp…

How having a 90 day goal can help
I'm one of those "instant gratification" people so I'm learning to set and stick with my weight loss goals :-) I found the points below on a business site and thought it could be applicable for our journey. I've also provided the link below for the article. Can you share your goal setting experiences - accomplished or not.…

Don't forget to log - if you bite it write it :-)
How does/has logging what you eat and drink help you lose weight? It has made me aware of what, how much, and why you I am eating. I'm not an emotional eater but I will eat if I'm bored. I think logging helps me cut down on mindless munching. On a week when my weight loss is not as I hoped or expected I can go back and…

Measure in addition to weighing
I've seen quite a few posts where there's frustration with the scale reflecting a small weight gain. Remember to also measure yourself so even when the scale is not reflecting weight loss you might very well be losing inches and gaining muscle which weighs more than fat.

Introduce Yourself
Hello!! I've been on this roller coaster for far too long and sometimes I wonder if I can do it. I've found wonderful support on this site and have lost successfully doing it. I do tend to get comfortable then think I can run off and do it on my own. Well I've found that is not the case. So!!! HereI am looking to my MFP…

Smoothies/Juicing
Does anyone juice or use smoothies as meal replacements or snack? I recently started using the Nutribullet after my dad and a friend of mine talked so much about it. It took me a few days to start but one thing I can say for sure is I've gotten really creative with making fruit and veggie smoothies. The best thing is that…

Calories Burned - HRM vs. other apps or tools
Hi, I'm trying to understand the calories burned concept using different tools. I currently use a Polar FT4 HRM and also trying the Endomondo tracker (which I like very much). I bought a Fitbit Flex but returned it for the Fitbit One. So, my question is why such a difference in calories burned on the HRM vs. the other…

So why am I feelibg guilty about it? I t is the strangest feeling. I've been eating mostly clean these past three weeks and have been losing. Hating this…

Weight Loss/Exercise Buddy
I met a lady a few days ago who was walking in my neighborhood. I stopped and asked her did she live here and she said yes. It was so funny she lives at the end of my street! I told her that I've been looking for a weight loss/exercise buddy for a while and we agreed to meet. Today was our first walk and I used my Polar…
