Going out for dinner - best choice?
We're going to our local Vintage Inns pub for dinner tonight. I have almost 700 cals left. Unfortunately they don't print any nutritional info on their menu, so am I best going for grilled meat/fish plus salad? Obviously I know to avoid anything fried or in a creamy sauce.

Mid afternoon food cravings
What would be a good standby to keep in my desk drawer at work? I have a healthy lunch (soup/protein+salad) but by 3pm I really feel hungry. I work in a large office & there's always plenty of cakes & biscuits in our kitchen. I've not succumbed so far but think it's only a matter of time unless I have a stash of healthy…

Does anyone else just need to lose a stone in total?
I'm really inspired by the huge losses many members have achieved with MFP. I only want/need to lose a stone, so I'm hoping that's going to be do-able in the space of around 3 months.

Does anyone live on the Fylde Coast/UK?
I no longer have my dog & would like to continue walking outdoors, especially as it won't be going dark so soon now. It'd be great to meet up for a walk - I feel silly going on my own & find it hard dragging my son away from his XBox! I live in Thornton, FY5.

What inspired you to lose weight?
My inspiration was that in the 8 years of being married to my (2nd) husband I've gone from a size 8 to a size 14 - and to my horror I currently weigh MORE than the day before I gave birth to my son 17 years ago! - I'm finding MFP better than WeightWatchers - what's the point of converting calories to points?!
-
Does anyone else not log exercise?
I don't bother logging my exercise as I only go to the gym for an hour and walk 2hrs a week. Is there a way to log it without MFP allowing you more calories for the exercise you've done? I'd rather just stick to the 1100 I allow myself.

758 calories left for dinner today!!
Been really good today (so far) & had Special K breakfast, then some king prawns for lunch. I've got all these calories left for dinner - but there's a delicious looking lemon cake one of my colleagues brought in for sharing ... must be strong!

5:2 anyone?
is anyone combining the 5:2 diet (eat normally 5 days & 'fast' eating 500 cals for 2 days) with MFP?

Problem adding thigh measurement using App
I've tried to add THIGH to measurement tracker on App, but the help section said use 'check-in' and 'add additional measurement' - neither of which I can find on the App. Help!

1000 cals daily
i've manually set my daily cal intake to 1000 from the 1200 MFP automatically recommended as otherwise my loss would only be 0.7lb a week even with gym & walking. Is this a bad idea?

Determined to lose a stone
I'm almost 48 & was shocked to 1) be diagnosed with high blood pressure this week 2) weigh myself & realise Im 4lb MORE than the day before I gave birth to my son 17yrs ago!! Going to address both these issues ;)

Annoyed not lost this week!
I'm in my 4th week of MFP and have lost 5lb, but even though I stuck rigidly to the usual 1000-1200 cals daily I've not lost an ounce this last week. How can I kick-start things?

Any ex-WeightWatchers?
I've just discovered MFP and it gives me everything WW used to without paying monthly. I lost a stone on WW last year & use MFP just to monitor my calorie intake to maintain my weight. I think logging everything you eat makes you think twice about treats, but I have a really sweet tooth & had 2 Walnut Whips yesterday! Becky

5:2 fast diet
I only need to drop 7lb so bought the 5:2 book where you 'fast' for 2 days per week having only 500 cals for a woman or 600 cals for a man. Seems a lot simpler than WeightWatchers which I did last year & lost a stone. Disappointed in book as all the calorie info was per 100g, which is why I'm loving MFP as you can search…
