Adding measurements
I started MFP (again) 4 weeks ago but only started tracking measurements this week. Does anyone know how I can add measurements at this stage? The app's not letting me do it. Thanks :)

Do you log calories on your 5 normal days?
I only keep track of my 500 cal days & eat sensibly the other 5 - anyone else do this? I've not got time to do it every day.

Has anyone else done Forever Living Clean 9?
I've been doing MFP since February and have been losing slowly but surely. I wanted to boost my loss as going on a break this weekend, so I'm on day 6 of the Clean 9 & have lost 4lb in 6 days making total loss since Feb 11.4lb. I don't normally agree with crash type diets but I'm so pleased that I'm now under 9 stone after…

So who skips breakfast on a fast day?
I probably could but I have a 90 cal pot of melon/blueberries to keep me going.

5ft1 - current weight 146lb - goal 126lb - age 47
Been about 14lb overweight for several years and seriously intend to do something about it now. I have one son aged 17 who has Aspergers - he only leaves the house to go to College so I go to the gym with him. I have 2 cats, 3 chickens - and a husband! wink:

No weight loss since joining gym
i joined the gym a month ago & have been working out 4 times a week inc. 45 minutes of cardio each time, plus doing Zumba, Pilates & aerobics classes a few times a week. My weight's stayed exactly the same - is this normal?

Increasing food intake as working out
I've started going to the gym 4 times a week for 75 minutes a time and doing Zumba + Pilates twice a week. I've not been offsetting any exercise against my daily calories so still have around 1200 cals a day. I've been feeling a bit light-headed at work. I know I need to eat more fuel as I'm now exercising a lot more, but…

5:2 fast days
If you're female on a fast day, do you have 500 or 600 calories? I can't stand being wide awake at night with my tummy grumbling but knowing I can't eat anything else! I could easily manage 700 - is it worth trying it this way?
-
How many calories does an hour at the gym burn?
If I do 60% cardio (treadmill / cross-trainer / bike) & 40% weight machines. I want to make sure I don't over-estimate, but I thought 250 calories would be about right?
-
Re-setting Goals
I've now started working out in the gym so have re-set my goals to include this - however MFP has still set my calories at the same 1200 calories. I'd rather know in advance what my total daily calories are rather than wait until I've input my gym details on the exercise part so it increases my allowance. Is there a way to…

How many calories should I be having?
I have a desk job & the only exercise up to now I got was walking the 15 minutes to work from where I park my car or if I took friends' dogs for walks. I've now signed up to a local gym and intend to go 3 times a week plus 2-3 exercise classes like Pilates & Zumba. I've been having 1200 cals daily but the gym said that's…

5ft1.5" - currently 136lb
- anyone similar stats? :)

Back problems
I've had a back problem for the last 10 months but the last few days its been very difficult even to walk. It's more painful to sit down so driving's awful & I work at a computer all day, so have had to make an improved standing desk propping my computer up on 3 box files so I don't have to sit down. I've been managing to…

TOTM!
I've been trying really hard but this morning I ate 2 cream cakes for breakfast at my desk because I felt so bloated, had stomach ache & just craved comfort food. Really annoyed with myself. Not fair that men don't have to put up with feeling like this!
-
How often do you weigh?
I weigh myself almost every day, but only record my weight on MFP once a week. I was pleasantly surprised this morning to be 2lb lighter than my last recorded weigh-in just 2 days ago! Hope I'm still the same when it comes to logging it this Friday as this would be my best ever loss.

Breakfast on the go
I always have breakfast at work sitting at my desk. I'm not a morning person & have to organise my son getting ready for college, make sure he's had breakfast & his medication before driving to drop him then going to work. I've been having Special K, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes or Special K Moment bars. What are some quick…

Using spare calories
if you have 50-100 calories left for the day, do you always use them up & if so what do you have?

Stayed the same for last 2 weeks
Been doing MFP for 6 weeks. In the first month I lost 4.8lb and 3cm off my waist (great!) - but I've stayed the weight AND measurements for last 2 weeks even though eaten my usual allocated 1200 cals daily. Any tips to kick-start things? (I don't get on very well doing 5:2 & would prefer not to go down that route). Thanks

Put on 0.4lb
Not sure what went wrong this week, especially as I only had 600 cals yesterday before weighing today. I'm going to try sticking to the 1200 without any fast days & see what happens.
-
5:2 - kind of
I'm meant to be on 1200 cals per day. (I'm only 5ft1 & have a sedentary job). I feel like I'm starving on 500 cals as per the regular 5:2 so instead I'm having 1000 cals for 5 days a week and 700 cals 2 days per week - saving 2000 cals over the week. - Do you think it's worth a try?

5:2 fast days
If you're female on a fast day, do you have 500 or 600 calories? I can't stand being wide awake at night with my tummy grumbling but knowing I can't eat anything else! I could easily manage 700 - is it worth trying it this way?

Varying daily calorie intake
I'm interested to know if any MFP members vary their daily total but ensure the weekly total's still 7 x daily cals. I have days when I'm not so hungry & others when I'm out for a meal so I'm thinking about varying daily cals instead of sticking rigidly to 1200. Is there an easy way to do this? We eat out 1-2 times a week…

Thought I'd picked a healthy breakfast option ...
Fage - Total 0% Fat Greek Yogurt With Honey, 1 container (170g) - Wrong - 32g of SUGAR !!! 184 calories !!!
-
Switching cals for different meals
I usually split my 1200 cals roughly 200 for breakfast, 200 for lunch, 600 for dinner & 200 for snacks. Has anyone ever tried having more cals for breakfast & lunch then a smaller dinner so most cals are eaten earlier in the day? Just wondering if it has a positive effect on weight loss. Thanks.

So annoyed about weight gain & it's all because of stupid hormones!
I'm not due to log my weight until Friday but I weighed today & I've put on 1.5lb because of TOTM. I know why (water retention) but it's still annoying when I've been trying so hard!

Party Food!
I'm going to my niece's birthday party tonight & I'm stressing about food options. It's un-nerving me now I'm on MFP I always know & plan what I'm having for every single meal & log everything in advance, but I've no idea what food there'll be. Should I eat something before I go & just drink diet coke there so I won't be…
-
Logging prior to eating
I've started to log everything prior to eating the foods I'd planned for the day. This way I can tweak it so I have less of something that would have taken me over the nutritional targets for anything. I find the advice pop-ups really helpful that tell you if you'd be over your daily limit if you went ahead & ate whatever…
-
If you exceed cals one day should you have less the next?
I'm usually pretty near the mark of my 1200 cals per day, but yesterday I went over by 103. Should I reduce my total intake today to balance it out?
-
Weighing food shock
I don't usually bother weighing out cereal - but I'm not at work today so did. The bowl of Raisin Wheats I usually have & log as 40g is actually 70g!! Luckily still managed to lose despite this :)

Want to lose more than 0.7lb a week
This is only my 2nd week of MFP & I've just changed the goal settings to auto from manual, so now on a more realistic 1200 cals per day instead of 1100. But - my projected weight loss is only 0.7lb per week - is the only way to increase this by exercising? I want to lose a stone by eating healthily & sensibly plus…
