TOTM!

I've been trying really hard but this morning I ate 2 cream cakes for breakfast at my desk because I felt so bloated, had stomach ache & just craved comfort food. Really annoyed with myself. Not fair that men don't have to put up with feeling like this!

Sure it is. We also can have babies and they can't. Though I do get your point. So when you are getting close to that time, start stocking up on stuff that you want to eat instead of cream cakes. I like light yogurt with light whipped topping. Really crappy for you because of the artificial sweetener but I don't care. If you like cream cake is there something lighter you could sub for it? Also, make sure you are taking a vitamin if the doc OK's it. I am always super low on iron during that time and it makes me crave food like crazy.
Best of luck and this too shall pass (if it hasn't already!!!).

I have had so much trouble the last two days.... It's awful! I had two binges this week. TWO. Sadly, I can't take it back, but I can put in some extra effort at the gym this weekend. I obviously won't be running because OUCH, but that Jacob's ladder stair master is calling my name. Best I can say is to do like I do and work at resisting the cravings, but hold yourself accountable at the gym (as much as is healthy/responsible) if you end up caving for treats.0

I actually eat less calories during my TOTM because I know that I will gain weight due to the bloating alone!0

I just kick up into maintenance the week prior to mine. No sense fighting a losing battle, lol. I let myself eat a bit more because if I don't I will ending up binging and eating way over maintenance. And then there are some months where it's so bad that I just don't count calories for a day or two. It evens out because usually once my TOM starts I lose my appetite for a few days.0

In all fairness having been through childbirth 3x....seeing what my nagging self did. They go through a lot (mentally, not biologically). They struggle, too. Have a little sympathy for the dudes!
In all seriousness though, get yourself a meal management bag. I got one from Isolator Fitness (really want a 6 pack bag but just can't stomach that price yet) and it's saved my tail from overeating, especially when I get cravings. Also look up recipes for protein snacks to satisfy your craving for that time too. You'll meet the craving but not nessesarily the bloat. It's taken me a while but I think I have it down.0
