Re-setting Goals

I've now started working out in the gym so have re-set my goals to include this - however MFP has still set my calories at the same 1200 calories. I'd rather know in advance what my total daily calories are rather than wait until I've input my gym details on the exercise part so it increases my allowance. Is there a way to do this?

You could use a TDEE calculator and create a custom Goal. With this method, you take the amount you exercise a week into consideration when determining your activity level. You then take a % off of the TDEE number (some calculators will do this for you) to give you a calorie goal to eat everyday. You don't log exercise with this method or if you do log it, you change the calorie burn to 1. This is a great method if your exercise routine doesn't vary much.
