Put on 0.4lb

Not sure what went wrong this week, especially as I only had 600 cals yesterday before weighing today. I'm going to try sticking to the 1200 without any fast days & see what happens.

OFGS!
Weight loss is not linear - see many other threads
0.4lb is simple water fluctuation
You are not eating enough!

You know that 0.4lbs is equivalent to half a cup of water? I can "gain" 5lbs in water weight overnight.0
-
How do people know this? My scales do lbs only, stones & lbs only, or kgs only. I read recently open mouthed someone posting that they'd gained 100g. 100g!! Thats how much my breakfast weighs. How do people know?0

My scales work in kg to 1 decimal point, so I can tell if it's a 100g 'gain'. I ignore it though.0 -
As others have said, don't worry about it. Your weight can fluctuate hugely, yesterday I 'gained' 2lb but it's gone today. I'm not gonna jump on you for posting though as I know how frustrating it is to see that on the scales even when you know you're losing overall0

I put on .5lbs in 1 day. Last night my BF and I went out for dinner. I had Pan Seared Cod and Green Beans. Plus 2 pints. And barely any water. Kept under my 1700 calories. So water weight. It means nothing. It will be off in a few days. Keep chugging, weight loss isn't linear.0

I put on a pound since yesterday. I don't worry about it because I know that weight fluctuates and my trend is downward.0

seriously?0

I think the bigger question should be why are you only eating 600 calories?0

Agreed! 600 is okay for a meal but NOT a whole day!!!0
-
.4 pounds? Go pee and lose it.
JFC, I don't ever want to hear about a fluctuation of less than 10 pounds, ever again. I am a wee thing and can lose 5+ overnight in water weight. Stop obsessing over the nonsense.

Seriously, THAT'S worth a forum thread (or even worth worrying about)? Oo
Get a life. Sorry. Not trying to be mean.
And, oh yeah, you need to eat more.-1 -
I can gain 0.4lb in a day... No big deal. Weight loss is not linear. I would be more concerned over only eating 600 calories a day.0
-
OOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT LESS THAN HALF A POUND?!!!! You better detox!-1
-
Why are you only eating 600 calories?0

I gained one pound over this last week even though I was under my calories every day. So what? Weight fluctuates. It doesn't worry me at all.
I am in this as a marathon, not a sprint. One pound is meaningless.0 -

If this isn't a level then you are going to emotionally struggle trying to reach your goal. You also need to read read read about what you are trying to do and the many concepts behind it.
If this a level....well...whatever.

She mentioned "fast days" so I'm guessing she is doing some form of IF. From her post she seems to be saying she is going to stop doing the fast days and just eat the same amount everyday.
To the OP: Weight fluctuates. More than likely its just water and nothing to worry about.0 -

Agreed about the weight and the calories!
OP, I gained .3 lbs in less than 12 hours today... I weighed myself this morning and then once before I got into the shower because the scale was there. It's completely normal for fluctuations to occur.0 -

Are you following the recommended calorie intake of MFP or another trustworthy site? If not, go to Goals, enter in your accurate information and realistic goal weight, and click Update Profile. Since you don't have that much to lose according to your Profile, set your weight loss goal to .5 to 1 lb./week. MFP will give you good info. on how many calories you should eat each day to safely lose weight. I'm almost certain you'll be recommended over 1200 cals./day...
If you have 75+ lbs to lose, 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose, 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose, 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose, 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose, 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.

#1 Do not eat under 1000 cals. It isn't healthy. Hell don't eat under 1200cals
#2 Do not fret small weight gains over a short period of time.
#3 Re-read #1 and don't ever do that again

Level...a post that isn't serious.0 -
Geez, that's nothing!
Look for a general downward trend, with a few natural fluctuation blips (in either direction) throughout the process.0 -

Go pee, weigh yourself again.
I peed once and lost a whole pound. I freaked out and immediately ate some Gelato.
Imagine what it's like to be a lady! I lost 5 pounds overnight once! Think of the donuts that needed to die to make that one OK....0
