Meaty May
A friend and I are doing a month of carnivore-style eating in May --- anyone else up for joining us? I'll cross-post in the carnivore group

Heavy Whipping Cream brands
What are your favorite brands of Heavy Whipping Cream? Is anyone concerned about carageenan? How is the "Sarah Farms" from Costco? I'm looking at doing 30 days of liquid food as an experiment --- here are some examples: https://diy.soylent.com/recipes?tags=Ketogenic Ordinarily I don't do much dairy, but since I'll be…

liquid diets?
Anyone played with liquid diets at all? Either soylent, shakeology, velocity, or a homemade version? Seems a low carb version would just be protein powder + oil + vitamins?

OMAD = being able to order the BIG burger
Heheh I posted this on the intermittent fasting board this morning, but figured you guys would get a kick out of it too! Skipped lunch yesterday and met friends and family for dinner, so I decided to try the "COLLOSAL" [sic] burger! Mainly for the spectacle of the thing. But, I do the low-carb thing, so no bun for me ... I…

help with Ketonix
a friend from another forum is having trouble getting consistent results with her Ketonix. Can anyone offer some tips? Thanks! ************************************* Well, it's a little more complicated than that. The first problem I've identified is that once the device boots up, it is supposed to be ready to take a…

Hope no one fell off the wagon over Valentine's Day

still here?
I know I for one don't really get on the forums AT ALL since they changed them up a few weeks ago. Doesn't look to be changing anytime soon. I'm not going to bother adding threads to my Faovrites just to keep track of replies. LAME :( Finished my W30 last week, doing the slow-roll reintro so far.

alcohol
Is it bad that I miss alcohol the most? I've got some Woodchuck "Fall Harvest" cider already bought and waiting for me on Day 31. :)

Weekly encouragement: Oct. 13 - Oct. 19
Late thread, but oh well the forum changes have kinda thrown things in to an uproar. I don't really use it anymore since you can't see the list of topics you posted in. Makes it too hard to participate in any discussions. Hope they bring it back otherwise I (and from what I gather, many others) won't really be using the…

roasted recipe
What's the difference between roasted and baked? I'm thinking roasted maybe means they get blackened a bit? Anyway, just started cooking Brussels sprouts in this fashion, got the recipe from a friend: - cut sprouts lengthwise into quarters - finely dice a shallot and a few garlic cloves - toss together in a bowl with olive…

*Brussels
proper name is Brussels sprouts ;)

W30 + IF?
Anyone else do IF while in a W30? I do, and it seems to be frowned upon by "official" W30'ers, even though it's not outright forbidden. This was a reply I wrote in one of the threads: Thoughts?

capability, performance, etc
I think the 30s is a good time to map out what our expectations are for health and fitness for the rest of our lives. We've getting to the point where we realize we can't quite do as many things as we could in our 20s, but we still have enough juice to keep building a base that will carry us into later decades. One of my…

Weekly encouragement: Sept 22 - 28
Didn't see the thread yet so I figured I'd start it! The 28th will be Day 1 for me. So this week I'm looking for recipes, doing some shopping, checking labels on cans I already have, etc. I'm also going to hold off on added sugar stuff this week as a "pre game" since sugar is the toughest craving I get.

4000 members???
How does this group have 4k members and no posts?? Do people just sign up for groups and then only hang out in the general discussion boards?

30something specifics?
What are some things that are specific to 30somethings? By 'things' I mean life circumstances, physical things, etc. We have more in common than just our current decade, ya? I imagine many of us have spouses and youngish kids? (no for me on both) So that would create certain demands on time and energy. We hear about our…

leftovers: warm up or no?
I eat a lot of leftovers, and typically I eat them cold. Seems I never can be bothered to reheat them. :) Any difference in satiety re: warm or cold food?

non-money rewards?
I was reading the non-food rewards thread (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/304895-ideas-for-non-food-rewards-for-losing-weight) and it reminded me that my friend and I have tried to think of rewards that didn't involve spending money, and we came up quite short. With a partner you could make deals beforehand for…
