Fitbit adjustment too liberal. Weight loss at stand still. Any advice?
Hey everyone. Looking for a little help here. So for the past two weeks I've been at a stand still for losing. I haven't been eating back all of my Fitbit adjustments since I am worried the adjustment is far too liberal. Typically I'm eating back 200-300 after a cardio burn depending on my level of intensity but not much…

Stronglifts 5x5 enough?
Hey guys, So I'm picking up lifting the again after a long hiatus and started doing stronglifts 5x5 program. However I feel like I'm not hitting enough. Should I be doing accessory lifts in addition to the 5x5 program? Or just trust the program? Feels weird being in there and only doing 3 lifts for the day. Thanks!

Advice about someone misguiding another
Hello everyone, So I have a bit of a moral conflict I'm currently dealing with and would like some advice on how to handle this. I was at my fiancee's work and her co-worker was talking to me about how she thinks it's awesome I'm working on losing weight and how she wants to. I mentioned to her mfp, macros, losing weight…

Burned 1.5k how much to eat back?
Hey everyone, so today I burned 1,500 calories according to my heart rate monitor. I'm only eating 1730 and already ate ~400 calories back as I try to eat back about half of what I burn (since I burn such high numbers). Should I be eating back more or is 1/2 calories burned adequate?

iifym/macros/flexible dieting. Anyone else?
Hey! Just looking to dig up others out there who are following iifym or watching their macros primarily. I'm working in losing weight and keep my ratios at 45%protein, 35%fat, and 20% carbs but seem to always be messing around with it since I'm learning haha. Thought it'd be cool to see meals of and support others…

Always had a high BPM on HR monitors. Why?
Hey guys, So I know nobody on here is a doctor (or I'm sure SOMEBODY is but probably not commenting on here or not my doctor) but I'm looking for some leads on why my heart rate is always and has always been high to ask my doctor about. Or if I even should go to them. I forgot about it until I threw my HR monitor on my…

Eggs and cholesterol. Good or bad?
Hey guys, So I know eggs are high in cholesterol if the eggs are whole. My fiancée and I eat a lot of eggs since it's a cheap protein. Maybe 3-4 per day most days. After reading some studies things were looking like the recommended amount is under 7 a week without negative effects. But I know a lot of people eat a lot more…

Eating calories not eaten from the day before?
Hey everyone, So yesterday I fell asleep before eating dinner so I was under by ~600 calories. Today all day I've been having major cravings. Should I eat over my calories today to make up the 600 I was under yesterday in an attempt to help curb the cravings? I'm very focused on losing slowly and I'd still be at the…

Not hungry so not eating. Solution?
Hey everyone, So I've realized that of late I have had issues trying to get myself to eat. Literally only about a normal meal to a small meal and a small snack is all I'm stomaching lately. I know it's not good to eat so little but I feel like I'm stuffing myself if I try to eat more than I want to. So my question is, is…

Ehlers-danlos syndrome, anyone?
Hey! I'm currently going for my diagnostic for EDS hypermobility type since my doctor and I believe fairly strongly that I have it after so many injuries. I was wondering if there was anyone else in the MFP community that has it since we're a rare breed. I've been told to brace or compression sock my joints to try and keep…

Any outdoor recreation enthusiasts out there?
Hey guys. Hoping to get some direction in finding a good outdoor recreation group or collection of folks since I'm starting to try and get back into the game after a series of unfortunate events. I'm huge into hiking, kayaking, camping, and was getting into trail running (before a recent injury) and will be picking up rock…

Running or biking with canine companion?
Hey everyone! I'm just recently starting to work on C25K and figured that since my aussie has an exuberant amount of energy I'm sure he'd love to tag along. We always are out everyday for a hike, walk, or some intense discing regardless. He wasn't a fan of the walk-run-walk-run but he was pretty good until we came across a…

Doing something wrong? Or too early to tell?
Hey guys, I know this sounds silly but I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or stupid. I've done MFP 3 times before to loose weight but always have to stop for one reason or another (aka excuses) and I've never encountered this when starting back up. Normally I can start loosing pretty quickly right from the get go…

"Too much abuse has gone on for too long."
Hello everyone! My name is Morgan. I'm returning from an unexpected 'hiatus' and want to jump back in to losing weight, getting active, and becoming healthy. I am 23 years old and weigh just shy of 250lbs at a controversial height of 5'7. Which means I am way over a healthy BMI and at the heaviest I have ever weighed in my…

Healthy eating without cooking?
Hey guys, I'm looking for some good healthy tips or recipies which are raw or don't involve cooking. My reasoning isn't necessarily because I'm looking to eat only a raw diet but rather because I don't have any means to cook healthy meals other than in the microwave since I don't have a fridge or a stove in my new house as…

Hiking calories burned too high?
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone else was feeling like cross-country hiking is a little too high in the MFP database. Its kicking my butt but at the same time I feel like the burn in the database is extraordinarily high. Substituting with walking seems a little too low of a calorie burn for the level of hiking…

Hikers, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts?
Hey everyone, I just am looking for a good group of people who are really into hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking, and anything out of doors or just love nature in general. I'm an avid hiker with my dog and am also a fisheries and wildlife management major at Northern Michigan University along Lake Superior. I'm trying to…

Animal lover/outdoor enthusiast looking for friends!
Hey everyone, I'm new here, well, I've been here before but I've never really gone too far with my goals so this is a new account for a fresh start. I'm a huge animal lover of all kinds and will be getting an aussie pup named Rio come June to join me as a fitness buddy and adventure companion. I live in Michigan's Upper…
