Zebra calories and the like?
It occurred to me while I was writing a ridiculous blog post: Has anyone on our planet ever analyzed how many calories a zebra has as opposed to a hippo, and so on? And yes, it might be weird that someone who practices a vegan diet wonders this. It's not like I'd eat either. Maybe soy zebra. If you want to read the silly…

In Case of Life, Break Glass
Post about what to do when Life gets in the way of your health and fitness. This is only my perspective and should not be construed as me saying there's only one way or one-size-fits-all. I definitely don't believe that. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/TheGoblinRoad/view/in-case-of-life-break-glass-216416

You CAN do this
Just wanted to say to all of you here on MFP: I bet that a lot of you, like me, have attempted to get healthy many times before. We've succeeded and failed, succeeded and failed, sometimes wanting to give up, but we never have. If you're here on MFP, you haven't given up. If you are wondering "Can this time around be the…

tight lower back. Help?
For at least a decade now, my lower back has been tight. Even when I lie down in corpse pose, my lower back aches. Any suggestions for improving this? My committed yoga practice is still relatively new. I'm coming up on 2 months of daily practice, which is a lot for me. (15 minutes average, low-intensity yoga)

Being Yourself Right Now (and letting your body catch up)
I've been thinking a lot lately about all the things I'd like to be traits I possess, or about all the habits I'd like to practice, and sometimes I do feel frustrated by the limitations of my body as it is. Then I saw that's kind of pointless. We can't get the blue fairy to come wave a magic wand over us and change…

Distorted Minds...
I find it baffling, and sad, that in 2004 after being on WW for a few months, I went from 252 lbs to 213, and I felt very fat still at 213. I wasn't positive about how well I had done, really. I felt that it wasn't enough. I could only see where I had left to go, another 40 lbs approximately. Then, almost predictably,…
