Gain weight after workout?
Why do I always gain weight the day after a good workout? Can't be muscle mass after only one session. Example. I walk about 30 minutes 3 times per week on average. Yesterday I rode my bike for 1 hour. The day before I walked for 1.5 hours. I stayed within my calorie goal, eating back my exercise calories. Today the scale…

Plateau
I started my weight loss journey about 1 year ago and slowly lost 25 lbs over the first 6 months. Just before the holidays I started to plateau and have yet to start losing again. I have increased the number of days and length of time that I exercise. In the last month I've added some gentle weight training to my cardio…

What do you drink?
Before this weight loss journey I used to drink a lot of soda and juice. Now I've cut back to 1 or 2 diet Mt Dews per day and I'm trying to be more conscientious on what type of juice I choose. Juice has sooooo many calories, and I have a really hard time finding any juices at my grocery store that are more than 5%or 25%…

Anyone try JM 6week 6pack?
I'm thinking about buying Jillian Michael's 6week 6pack and would like some feedback from all of you. I have been doing her 30 day shred and ripped in 30 and noticed my legs have really toned and gained strength with those programs, but feel I need more weight loss around my abdomen. Is this program worth the money?!

Anyone try Dr Oz's green drink?
Has anyone tried Dr Oz's green drink? I'm thinking about trying it, but would like to know how you all like it. Please comment both on taste and how it makes you feel. Also does it last in the refrigerator for several days, as the recipe makes 3-4 servings and I only plan on one serving per day?

Anyone just hoping to maintain for the holidays?
Just wondering how many of you are simply planning to maintain during the holiday and then start working at losing again after January 1st. I'm hoping by maintaining through December (so far so good) I can shock my body back to weight loss in January. Still trying to make better choices, but not depriving myself of the…

Trying new health foods
I decided to start adding new "health foods" to my regular diet plan. I've heard a lot about homemade kale chips and how yummy they are. I've also heard how good natural peanut butter is for you, in comparison to the "unnatural" kind. I decided to make those two items my new foods for today. Talk about disgusting! I took…

Frustration about going to the gym
I've been doing really well lately getting up in the morning to go to the gym I work 2nd shift so I typically sleep until about 10-11 then head to the gym for a while then eat lunch and go to work. Before I started going to the gym I would sleep in a bit later 11 or 12 then eat lunch and go to work. The past couple of days…

4 sizes smaller!!
Since gaining 50 pounds I have refused to buy any jeans except for one size 16 pair. I wear these only when absolutuly necessary, and wear my scrubs or sweat pants all other times. Tonight was one of those times I needed jeans and I complained to my fiancee that they were too big. I was pulling them up all night long and…

Any 30DS Cheaters?
I've been doing the 30 Day Shred on and off for about 2 months now. I don't do the workout every day for 30 days in a row like you are supposed to, nor do I do levels 1-3 in order. I just pick which workout I feel like doing on any particular day. I also do not do all the workout moves exactly as they are shown on the DVD.…

Sweating and chafing. Help!
Kind of a gross topic, but I need help. My workouts often include walking my dog outdoors on hot days. I know that I can't change the fact that I sweat like a pig, but how do I keep from chafing between my legs? It hurts, and it makes my workouts shorter than they should be along with keeping me in misery after the workout…

BMI question
I just recently discovered the BMI calculator on MFP. According to my height of 5'1" I am supposed to weight between 97.9 - 132.3 lbs to be considered "healthy." How can anyone possibly believe that 97.9lbs is healthy for anyone? 120-130s I can see being correct, especially if someone of my height were to have any muscle…

Working with the public....Small NSV
Working with the public can either be really hard on your self-esteem, or amazingly good. In the past week alone I have had both good and bad encounters. The good came yesterday when completely out of the blue I was called "beautiful" by a visitor in the hospital. Still a long way to go to reach my goal weight, it was a…

30 day Shred
I completed level 1 the last two days. Yesterday my quads were killing me, but I pushed through and did it again. This morning my quads and calves are extremely sore and tight, so much so that it hurts to walk. I'm wondering if I need to take a day off, or if I should just keep pulling through. Thoughts?

Frustrated!!
I have been on MFP for just over 2 months, and while I did pretty good at first, slowly losing 10 pounds I have reached my first plateau and I'm frustrated. I recognize that my plateau is a result of my decrease in exercise and increase in junk food due to the reasons below. I just don't know how to fix these reasons. I do…

Baked french fries
My new favorite recipie: baked french fries. Cut up a potato into fries. Spray potatoes on all sides with Pam cooking spray,or a little olive oil. Spread out on baking sheet and bake 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. Flipping the fries half way through so both sides get browned. Sprinkle with a tad of salt! So much…

My NSV - complement from my fiancee
My fiancee came home from school last night for the first time in several days. He gave me a great big hug and squeezed my tush. "I think something is missing." He told me. Whether he can really tell that I'm thinner, or if he's just being supportive, I don't know, but it sure was a great compliment and made me feel…

Suggestions for good workout shoes?
My reward for -5 pounds is new shoes. I am almost there and am starting to look for what I am going to buy. Any suggestions? Do those new shoes I see advertise for weight loss/toning of the legs really work? Do I have to spend lots of money for a good pair, or will something in the $40-$50 range be sufficient? Looking for…

New Member
Hi everyone, My story is I gained 50 pounds over the last 1.5 years after graduating college, moving to another town and beginning the bad habit of fast food meals. I used to jog 3-4 days per week to relieve the stress of college, and now I have become much more sedenary. I do not fit into very many clothes in my closet…
