30-45 minutes for workouts
Currently, I only have from 30 to 45 minutes in the gym each weekday. Monday and Wednesday are 30 minutes and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are 45 minutes. Starting in May, I'll have 45 minutes every day except Monday. Weekends I generally I don't go to the gym because of family time, but I might change that. I've been…

First time with the barbell!
I've been lifting weights since the beginning of February, but I had been sticking to kettlebells, dumbbells, and some machines until yesterday. I finally got a trainer to teach me the basic barbell lifts that you use for Strong Lifts 5x5 (except for bench press, we'll get that next time). Today my upper back (shoulder…

Breaded chicken, pan fried
How would you enter this? I dip the chicken in egg and then lightly coat it in italian breadcrumbs. Then I brown both sides in a pan with olive oil and finish in the oven. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible with my logging, but I'm not sure how to log this!

Rotisserie Chicken
There are so many different entries on MFP for rotisserie chicken! I buy mine from Costco. I remove all of the skin before removing the meat. Then I keep the white meat separate from the dark meat to help me keep track of what I'm eating. But I have no idea which entry to use or how many calories it really has. What do you…

What'd you do this weekend?
First, it's nowhere near weigh in day, but I got on the scale this morning and was 143.2! That's a pound less than Friday and slightly lower than my starting weight for the challenge. I spent ALL of April stuck in the 144s. I'm really focused on being precise with weighing. Friday- just had a relaxing night at home. Took…

April 25th - Weigh In
Original SW: 149 Challenge SW: 143.3 CW: 144.3 4/11/14: 143.4 4/18/14: 144.6 4/25/14: 144.3 Well that's better, but still above my start weight. It's a little depressing to be a month into the challenge and be +1 instead of having lost any.

Mini Challenges each day
I saw on the weigh in thread that someone (terriejones?) mentioned doing mini challenges each day to help stay on track. I think that's a great idea! It seems like many of us had lower losses this past week. Any ideas for mini challenges? Here are some of mine: 1. Walk 15,000 steps (Fitbit) 2. Do a 20 minute body weight…

Apri 18th - Weigh In
Original SW: 149 Challenge SW: 143.3 CW: 144.6 4/11/14: 143.4 4/18/14: 144.6 BOOOOOO!!! I don't know what is going on. It's better than the 149 that I saw on the scale this past Monday. I feel bloated due to being mid-cycle, so maybe that's part of it. I feel like I say this a lot, but I need to tighten up. I am weighing…

6 pounds? OMG!
I got on the scale this morning and was up SIX WHOLE POUNDS!! I haven't seen 149 on the scale AT ALL since early February. So yesterday, I did a HIIT workout on Fitnessblender. It was really difficult and I am VERY sore. Like almost to the point of unnaturally sore for the day after a workout, so I guess I overdid it. It's…

Looking for Teachers (or anyone really...)
Hi everyone! I was using the site religiously throughout the last school year and lost about 10 pounds. I hit a plateau in March and then basically stopped trying. I gained probably 6-7 pounds back. Over the summer, I promised myself I'd get back to it since I have more time, but my eating habits only got worse and…
