Currently, I only have from 30 to 45 minutes in the gym each weekday. Monday and Wednesday are 30 minutes and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are 45 minutes. Starting in May, I'll have 45 minutes every day except Monday. Weekends I generally I don't go to the gym because of family time, but I might change that. I've been strength training about 3 days week and doing cardio the other two over the past couple months. I haven't been following any program, just kind of doing different things with dumbbells and kettlebells.

I want to start doing Stronglifts 5x5. Is this feasible with my limited time? Since I'll be starting with just the bar, should I be able to complete it in only 30 minutes? I was looking around online at various forums and people were saying that it takes them 1-2 hours to complete the routines!

Once summer comes, I'll have more time in the gym, but still not much more than an hour.

Stronglifts doesn't take hours...it's three lifts per workout. If you don't have to wait around for equipment and you aren't screwing around you should be able to do SL in 45 minutes...

I personally know very few people who train for more than an hour in the weight room...the only ones I know who spend more than that in the weight room are doing so because they're competitive bodybuilders or powerlifters or something.

That said, time can be an issue if you are working in a crowded gym and have to wait on equipment.

I had the best gains of my life doing three 45 minute workouts a week. Day 1 bench / upper body, 2 was squats / legs and day 3 was deadlifts. I lifted heavy as hell and went to failure....

Eat clean and eat more calories than you burn on lift days and eat a bit below maintanence on off days... Win!
