I'm Falling
Yesterday morning on my way to work at 7am, i was mugged at the bus stop. The guy came onto the pavement with his motorcycle and snatched my phone violently out of my hand. I was really shaken & in tears. I know it is just a materialistic item but the act itself has really left me feeling down and i've eaten half my fridge…

Fitbit driving me crazy (A little)
Hey Guys, so i am back again after being away for 18mths. My fitbit does not seem to be accurately recording the calories burned after my elliptical workout. Before i start exercising, e.g. fitbit says i have burned 608kcal so far for the day and after exercise, i see something like 1010kcal burned but when i track it on…

Eating my sorrows away
On May 14, i lost my grandma and i seriously felt like a part of my soul died. She raised me and i always felt like she was immortal. Her death was sudden and completely broke me. I started eating 24/7 so that i wouldnt have to think about it and since 3weeks ago, i have been struggling to break myself away from that. I'll…

White at a wedding
I just wanted to know everyone else's thought about the issue of wearing white to a wedding. Tradition says it's a no no and i'm all for it but a friend of mine says that is what she wants to wear. So, is tradition out the window? would you wear white to a wedding? how would you react if someone wore white to your wedding?

Fitbit
I am thinking about getting one and will like some recommendations on which of the different fitbits out there is most practical for basic needs, i don't lift weights (yet, maybe in the future) and only use an elliptical plus walking for cardio exercise.

What exercise level am i at?
For the past week, i've been agonising over my exercise level because i only just joined the gym 3wks ago. I go to the gym 4-5 times per week, only use the elliptical for 35mins and my heart rate is usually between between 75%-83% (145-160bpm). Should i consider this lightly active or moderate active? I have a desk top,…

Sedentary
I have a question on Sedentary. I'm logged down on MFP as sedentary. Any walking i do to work and from work counts as extra calorie or it doesn't? A month ago, i was eating under 1500kcal and my weight loss hardly shifted for 3weeks. Then within 2 week of going back up to 1700, i lost 5lbs and the weight loss was steady…

Haggerston/Hoxton/Shoreditch
Hi UK MFP Started MFP back in November and love my progress so far. I haven't been working out because i just don't get motivated enough for the gym but i want to find someone in the area who perhaps goes to the gym that can help motivate me along as well, even if it's only for 30mins. Because of my job, i can only go to…

Food everywhere
When i have made a resolution about something, i like to be in charge. This christmas holiday is killing me, food everywhere and everyone wants to invite you to eat. I have managed to avoid 3 work christmas dinner and now there's a lunch today. I didn't want to go so badly that i think i had an anxiety attack, woke up at…

4lbs in 2 days
I joined mfp at the end of october when i was 16st 11lb (2lb was more water weight because it would fluctuate between 11lbs and 9lbs daily) at 6'2. I didn't really start using it until November and i have stuck to it ever since. I lost 6lbs in the first 2wks and then 1lb the following week, my weight loss kind of stalled…

I'm starting to waver
Before i joined MFP, i think my body was in starvation mode because i was rarely hungry, most times if i ate, it was because i felt i should and not because i was hungry. Breakfast was maybe once a week, had lunch occasionally and would always have a big meal for dinner which includes snacking on all sorts of sugary junks.…
