Can you become and/or remain toned on a ketogenic diet?
So long story short, I'm currently 5'7, 24 y/o and 125-128 pounds and around 14-15% body fat. I used to be overweight (187-190 pounds) and around 37-38% body fat (I used Dexa scans along with other ways of measuring body fat). I lost weight/fat and became toned through exercise (lifting, squats, resistance training, yoga,…

How come I have around 36-38 inch hips if my body fat is 14%?
I've had my body fat professionally tested 3 times and have been making progress along with the numbers decreasing so I know they're accurate or at least pretty accurate. Can't remember decimals but first body fat measurement was 38% then 8 months later was 22% then very recently is 14% (which I'm convinced is either…

Fellow lifters, am I eating too few calories? How many do you eat? I'm trying to maintain.
It says here that according to my activity level, weight, height, etc. I need to eat 1870 calories per day to maintain. The problem is I've been SOOO hungry lately. I'm a 23 y/o female 5' 6 and 124 pounds. For a few months, I would fluctuate between 126-127 then eventually 125-126 and now I'm at 124. Not only that but my…

List of Gluten-Free desserts (ingredients and instructions)
So many desserts to share so I might as well post a few recipes and my example photos right now. These are ALL gluten-free so you will not have anything to worry about when eating them. Not all of these desserts are personally mine so I can't take full credit but I tend to "doctor" online desserts up either to make them…

Is there something wrong with my back? Whenever I lay down to exercise (or in general) there's a gap
No I'm not giving a thumbs up in the pic, I'm holding onto the bar. Anyways, when I lay down to exercise on a weight machine, there's always a gap around my back area. I'm starting to become concerned that I'm either swaybacked or have a damaged spine. If it's neither one then what do you assume it could be? I tried lying…

From fat to lean (photos included)
Am 23 years old and 5' 6. I started at 187 pounds with around 40% body fat (I got weighed, professionally scanned and measured etc.) I eventually began controlling my portion sizes, drinking more water, meditating (which reduced my stress by a long shot), and ate closer to nature. Some people may think, "Closer to nature?…

What is a strong blender (food processor) brand?
My current blender (which was actually a "starting college" gift from my mother) has nearly hit the dust. The only thing it blends now is canned vegetables/fruits. It has become very weak and slow. I plan of buying a new blender soon for my smoothies and homemade soups/sauces. Are there any specific brands of food…

How to get things "moving" again?
I drink a minimum of 70 oz of water a day (this does not include water during exercise). I exercise at the gym 5 days a week (specifically strength training, plus lots of brisk walking around on college campus). I eat fruits, vegetables, and other high fiber foods daily such as whole wheat/grains, beans, bran etc.) I’m not…

Healthier dessert alternatives (ingredients, directions, and calories)
So many desserts to share so I might as well post a few recipes and my example photos right now. Most of these desserts are not personally mine so I can't take full credit but I tend to "doctor" online desserts up either to make them healthier, tastier, and sometimes gluten-free (since I'm mainly a G/F eater). Enjoy!…

I can weight train easy but can't run for the life of me. Why?
Well, I can run but only 30 seconds tops even when pacing myself, then I'll immediately burn out. Yet I can do resistance training/weights for 30+ minutes without getting burnt out. If I am physically strong then how come I can't run fast or that long? I'm 5'6 female 23 y/o and 123-125 pounds so I doubt it's a weight…

Nothing can stop you, except yourself.
Have you ever thought to yourself "I can't do it. I try and try but all fails"? Yes you can do it. The only thing holding you back is your inner judgmental self. I was there. I was very overweight once (close to obese, at 187 pounds). I tried different things that I thought would help me lose weight but nothing was…
