awful protein bars
I can eat most things but my new protein bars (maximuscle dark chocolate) taste like feet. I don't like feet. Any ideas how to resuscitate them into something remotely edible?

Chocolate bar protein
I don't want people to know I am taking protein bars because of the stigma. I know it's wrong, but I don't want to be discussing it with people that won't understand without a lot of explanation. So, if i'm offered a chocolate bar (candy bar?), what is my best high protein option when I can't choose a protein bar?

Lifting at goal
I'm heavy lifting to improve my strength and body composition. Eventually I will be happy with how I look. I won't want to keep getting stronger and gaining mass, i'll want to stay as I am. My question is, will I still need to lift 3/4 times a week, or will I maintain by lifting less often?

Lightly active?
I am beginning my first bulk, looking to increase muscle mass after dieting my way to skinny fat. I mostly do heavy lifting, 3 times a week, and do a few hours of walking on the weekend. When calculating my calories, am I lightly active because I do heavy lifting, or is this mostly for cardio? Or do I pick sedentary and…

Huge discrepancy!
So I have a pack of two Sainsbury's Taste The Difference wild salmon fillets. The contents weigh 230g, so 115g per fillet. I happily searched for skinless boneless salmon fillets and selected two from MFP database. The first coming in at 204 calories for 115g, the second at 248 per 115g. Not a huge difference, but enough…

Rice
I know I know... I should use a food scale, but I would be so grateful if someone could post a picture of cooked rice and its respective weight (cooked or uncooked weight, i don't mind so long as you let me know). I am having rice tonight and due to circumstances cannot weigh it, I will just be scooping cooked rice from a…

6 week bulk?
I am within my healthy weight range, but only just, and have been so for about two months. I don't think my body wants to lose any more weight. I kind of agree (scale wise certainly), although I do have some fat around my stomach that I know does not need to be there. I have been heavy lifting since February and have seen…

Alternative to deadlifts
I've been heavy lifting for a few months while eating a deficit. I use my own dumbells and don't have a barbell. I do compound lifts mostly, but have not been doing deadlifts. Is it ok to do deadlifts with dumbells, or is there an alternative lift I can do with dumbells that offer similar deadlift benefits? I feel I am…

Struggling to accept
I've not quite reached my goal, but I am really struggling to accept my new body. I didn't have a lot to lose, maybe just 20 lbs or so, but now I am at a point were I am quite slim, and all my old clothes are baggy, and I stand at my wardrobe every morning quite lost and afraid. I put on my old clothes and feel saggy, I…

How heavy is too heavy
I am very new to heavy lifting and am just finding my feet, so I apologize for any ignorance. In my current workout I aim for 8 reps and 5 sets. Today I did bicep curls with the dumbells I usually use for squats and could only do 3 reps before exhaustion, and did 3 sets. It felt really good, and that is something I never…

Sandbells
They do Sandbell classes at my gym. I am really interested to try, but like any new class I am also very anxious. I have searched myfitnesspal for other threads on this, but can only find one and even then it is very brief. Has anyone tried it? Is it safe? Is it fun?

Heavy lifting on deficit?
Hi I read these boards all of the time and have just joined for this question. You are all so very helpful I am confident someone will be able to solve my connundrum! I am 26 year old female, 5'6, 128 lbs. I used to weigh around 150 lbs and have worked hard over the past 8 months or so on a reasonable deficit and…
