Returning and Re-committed (World Autism Day)
To honor my son and get myself healthy, I am here and more committed than I have ever been. I have over 100 lbs to lose, but am really just focused on eat less, moving more and getting my body the nutrients that it needs. I’d love to partner up with others for support.

After three weeks, by BMI has dropped by 3.1!!! So excited! I still have a very long way to go, but progress is progress. :)

I actually had a dream about...
having a free day. I've been doing this for three weeks. I've been under my calorie goal each day. In fact, I'm usually about 300 or more calories below. (Since I'm just starting out, I still lose at a deficit.) I know that lots of people take a free day, but isn't it hard to get back on track after?

So, as I was getting ready for work today, I decided to reach into the "things that are too small pile" of clothes that I have in my room to find a pair of jeans. I said a silent prayer as I tentatively pulled them on and... they fit! Not only did they fit, but they fit well! So exciting!! What victories did you have today?

Hello, All!
I just joined this group today and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have a son with autism. He is five and functions in the moderate range. More importantly, my son is happy, adorable, loving and full of life! He is the center of our universe. I'm thrilled to find a group of people with similar goals and…

Feeling like I didn't earn it...
I've been doing MFP for two weeks and LOVE it! I've lost 15 pounds and am worried about stalling out because I've lost too much too quick. I have a lot to lose, so I'm in this for the long haul. Do people usually lose quite a bit right away?

I have to ask...
...even though I'm probably the only person that doesn't know. What does it mean when a person types "bump" as a response on a message board?

Scary Doctor
I went to a new OBGYN yesterday and this was my experience: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/709654-the-doctor-made-me-cry She also told me that PCOS (because of the infrequency of periods) puts me at a higher risk for cervical cancer. I've always been told that it's only to only have periods a few times a year.…

The doctor made me cry...
I went to see a new doctor today and she recommended that I have the weight loss surgery since I have a metabolic disorder (PCOS) and diabetes. She said that the likelihood of me losing enough weight on my own is slim because "that biologically how my body is." I'm so upset. I've been teary all day. Does anyone know…

What makes you move your body?
Today is my third day using the Nike+ FuelBand and I have to say, it really does encourage me to move more. Admittedly, I'm not breaking any land speed records, but I have to meet that goal every day. What makes you move your body?

Anyone using the FuelBand?
Mine should be here on Monday. How do you like it. I'm totally geeked to try it out.

Nike FuelBand
Does anyone have one? If so, how do you like it? I'm not very active, but want to do more, maybe even start running. My husband got one for me...if FedEx ever delivers it!
