HRm vs MFP
So I have a Timex HRM with a chest strap. I just ran 3 miles in about 36 minutes. MFP says I burned 375 calories, while my HRM says 600. Who the heck do I believe? I thought HRM with chest strap was the most accurate., but that is a huge difference. My average heart rate was 155. I am 5'2" and 170 lbs. Thanks in advance…

What is your favorite protein powder?
I've never bought the stuff before, and based on the prices I've seen, I'd like to get the best tasting one on the face of the earth. What brand and flavor do you swear by?

Don't stuff yourself!
One of the next things I need to work on is not always eating everything on my plate. Today I made a great wrap for lunch. It was full of veggies and other good stuff. But now that I am done eating it, I want to explode. Gotta teach myself to throw some away or save it for later when I KNOW I will be hungry again!

Holy HRM!
I just used my new Timex HRM (recommended by a MFP friend) for the first time this morning. The calories that my treadmill told me I burned during that 30 minute workout were significantly lower than what my HRM said. I knew the treadmill was only giving an estimate, but the difference is huge. I am so happy I finally…

Down over 50 lbs. Here's the pics to prove it!
The "before" pic represents the heaviest I have ever been. This was right after my daughter was born 5 years ago. In the last 18 months, I have lost 35 lbs. I have done it the right way, by eating well and working out. I feel like a million bucks!! And the fun part is, I still have more weight to lose. Thank you MFP family…

First Cleanse??
Just picked up this product at Walgreens because it was free (after you send in a rebate form). I've never done a cleanse before. I have been pretty successful with my slow and steady weight loss. But at the same time, I'd love to be healthier, and it wouldn't hurt to lose a pound or 2. Do you have any thoughts on a…

Leaving for vacation
I'm going on a trip and looking for guidance. I have been on a roll with my eating and exercise, and I am scared to break the routine. Last vacation I went on I gained 5 lbs, even though I felt I was eating well and I worked out daily. What is your favorite vacation tip to help me stay on track?

Freeze those strawberries!
Somewhere in my dieting life, I picked up this tip. I am thrilled with it every time I make a smoothy. Every time you get to those strawberries that are still good, but getting a bit mushy in the basket, slice them, and freeze them. When you are going to make a smoothy, use them instead of ice. I also do this with other…

Yucky greek yogurt!!
I accidentally grabbed the Safeway brand honey flavor Greek yogurt. I don't know what was Greek about it. It was watery, and had a terrible flavor. Avoid this one, everyone! Have a great day!!

Zumba?
What's a good estimate for calories burned? Do you use a general aerobic workout to figure calories earned? I searched for Zumba with no luck. Or perhaps I did something else wrong. .. Thanks! Eryn
