Leaving for vacation

I'm going on a trip and looking for guidance. I have been on a roll with my eating and exercise, and I am scared to break the routine. Last vacation I went on I gained 5 lbs, even though I felt I was eating well and I worked out daily. What is your favorite vacation tip to help me stay on track?

use your mfp app!! Punch in everything you eat and want to eat and it'll let you know if you're going over or not :-)0

I just got back from vacation a week ago. I used MFP while there to log my food. I also made sure to do plenty of active things, such as swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and even using the hotel gym. It's possible to enjoy your vacation while still fitting in exercise.0

I just came back from vacation and yes, gained a bit ... however it was mostly water weight because when I got back into routine, it came right off in 5 days ... and then some! My advice is try to enjoy yourself, continue to log your food, and get your exercise but don't be too fanatic about it. It's a vacation and you don't want to stress yourself out. I always up my goals to Maintenance level when I go on vacation so I don't feel guilty when the numbers are high. Good luck and enjoy!0
