Getting "bulky"
So, I'm in Stage 4 right now and still working out the right balance of calories, cardio, and lifting. (I think I've finally figured it out...hurray!) I truly love lifting and what it's doing for my body for the most part, BUT I'm starting to feel like some areas are beginning to look bigger/more muscular than I'd like.…

Struggling with calorie goals
I've posted about this before, but continue to have the same issue of climbing weight. (I know that scale measurement isn't very accurate, but my inches haven't changed since the 1st stage and I'm actually finding my clothes getting a bit tighter.) I'm 39, 5'6", 175ish. I'm new to strength training and am currently mid-way…

Foam roller??
I'm suffering through a bad case of DOMS in my hamstrings. Would a foam roller help with relieving muscle soreness? Are they hard to use? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Done with Stage 2...still gaining :(
I've completed the first 2 stages and continue to see my weight climb-. I did lose inches during stage 1, but didn't see any shrinkage during stage 2. I am seeing strength gains and I can definitely feel muscles growing and toning, but I'm frustrated by the lack of fat loss. In total, I'm up about 6lbs since starting. I…

Gloves or no gloves?
I'm in the middle of Stage 2 and notice that I'm starting to get some gnarly looking calluses on my hands. I don't wear gloves now, but I'm beginning to think it may be a good idea. OTOH, I want to improve my grip strength as much as possible.

When should I re-evaluate calories?
I'm coming to the end of Stage 1 (last A workout today) and am up about 3lbs since starting on April 29. I won't take "official" measurements until next week, but it looks like I'm down an inch or more in my waist and hips, so there's definitely progress. (Yay!) I have at least 20lbs to lose and want to make sure I'm…

Panic at the scale
Is it normal to gain weight in the early stages?? I'm trying not to freak out. LOL I'm 9 workouts into Stage 1 and absolutely loving the workouts. It's been nice to get off the treadmill and feel like I'm really doing something with my body. My issue is that I'm a bit of a scale addict and weigh myself daily. I'm seeing…
