How many calories can one survive on?
I'll be frank, I am an alcoholic. I love it, and I drink at least 1000 calories a day. Is there any way, anyway at all, to be able to lose weight and drink this much without inducing starvation?

Does allocating half of your daily calories to alcohol count as starvation?
Yes, I know, drinking is bad for you. But I'm asking just from the perspective of diet. If I am allowed 2000 calories a day, and drink 1000 calories a day as well as eating healthily the rest of the calories, can you be nutritionally sustained?

I'm not losing the amount weight I should be losing!
I started trying to lose weight a bit more than a week ago, and I have gained 1/2 a kg. I have been just under the calorie counts every day which should be losing me 1 kg per week. (Previous attempts to lose weight saw me lose 3-5 kgs in the first week) Why am I gaining weight when the math says that I should be losing it?
