Conscious Decisions Before Eating Out
I don't know about any of you, but eating out has taken a toll on me. During my first bout of weight loss as a bachelor, I vowed to not eat out and stuck to it and lost 100+ pounds. However, married and family life is a different ball game (gained 50 of that back). I've made incorrect choices eating out and continue to go…

Started this 6 years ago & Lost 100 Pounds, and now I'm back after gaining 50 back!
As the title reads, I joined MFP in 2010 and over the course of two years of intense working out and diet modifications, I lost over 100 pounds. Now that I'm married and with two kids, the weight had been creeping back on in excess of 50 pounds at the most. Yesterday, my wife and I decided to both go all out and get…

Free Weights Vs. Machines
I'm trying the "home workout" routine with my trusty elliptical and treadmill, but I'm missing the muscle building exercises the weight machines at the gym provided. Is it possible to achieve the same results with free weights and an adjustable bench?

Virtual MFP Band
Does anyone wanna form a band on here and create some music? I would love to collaborate and see what we could come up with! I've seen this before and as long you can play to the same BPM on the metronome should be fairly easy to line up recorded tracks? Anyone interested or have additional input?

Polar HRM Chest Strap
So I've been having issues with my Polar HRM. It will suddenly drop down to 0 BPM, and be intermittent. I put in new batteries, and I cleaned the strap very thoroughly along with the contacts and yet I'm still having the same issue. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there another solution? Another strap is like $25.

Weight Loss & Resistance Training Phobia
So my primary goal is weight loss, as in a number. Throughout my journey, I've been dead set against it because I know that my scale may see an increase. Is the increase only temporary due to water retention? I know that body fat reducation can be attributed to resistance training, so I'm just looking for advice from…

Running speed?
According to the Exercise Database, you burn more calories running 10 minutes at 6.0 mph then you do at 6.7 mph (252/173). I guess I'll slow it down and run a little longer! It really isn't a race apparently!

97 Pounds Down
I've been pretty silent around here, but I thought I'd share my success. I started July 1 of 2010, and joined MFP about 6 months ago. I have been checking success stories often because it is extremely motivating and inspiring of others accomplishments! Also, feel free to add me as a friend! Thanks everyone!

Running Warmup Routine Question
So last week, I started running a mile as a quick warmup and have been increasing my pace from 6.0 mph on Sunday, to 6.1 on Monday, 6.2 on Tuesday, and so forth. Is it better to work up speed, or should I focus on running longer like 1.25 miles, 1.50, etc? After I warmup I usually do some resistance training followed by a…

Quick food ideas
So, I'm at a point where I now realize how healthy eating can dramatically affect weight loss. By switching my daily breakfast burrito run before work with oatmeal and peanut butter toast, I've had great success. I know that sounds messed up, but it's like a switch just flipped and am now in a phase where I don't crave…
