Whey protein actually that healthy or not?
I've been trying to eat a more basic and natural diet these days. It makes sense to me that healthy eating is simple eating. An apple, and egg, a piece of fish, etc. Nothing processed, nothing with the nutrients sucked out of it, no weird fats or preservatives added. Although I have a healthy shake with whey protein every…

caloric breakdown
How does this happen? I get toward the end of the day, and my remaining calories could be in the 200 to 300 range, yet I'm "all out" of protein, carb and fat calories (by MFP's calculations) What is going on here? What should I eat for those remaining 200 calories if I can't eat protein, carbs or fats? haha! ???

Zumba calories?
Does anyone know how many calories doing a typical Zumba class will burn? I've been putting "general aerobics" until now, but I have a feeling I burn more calories than that. -Sarah

using heart rate to calculate calories burned
Is there a way to calculate calories burned per minute? If so, how do I do this? and does your current weight matter, or is it just heart rate that matters? Thanks!

protein
Are there any guidelines as to how much protein one should eat at each meal and snack? I get to the end of the day and I've already eaten all of my protein, which doesn't leave much for dinner choices. I can't figure out what is happening with me and my protein levels. I feel like I never had this problem before. I…

Plant blood - liquid chlorophyll
Has anyone tried liquid chlorophyll? Anyone know something about it, or have any weight-loss / belly fat loss success with this stuff? Do tell! Reason I ask is a woman at the gym told me she all of a sudden lost a ton of fat around the belly after adding just liquid chlorophyll to her diet. Hmmm, sounds too good to be true!

kale recipes
I bought a bunch of kale thinking I could use it raw to add some variety to my salads, but I don't like how it tastes raw in salads. Any good ideas what I could do with it? I made zuppa toscana (like the Olive Garden soup) with it today, but I have a lot left over! thanks!

any good salad dressings?
I'm looking for salad dressing that is low (or better yet, has NO) sugar, low in fat, only "good" fat and is tasty. Ideas?

shape-up shoes
Has anyone out there used shape-up shoes for a period of time? Have you noticed any results? I just bought a pair and working out on the treadmill was SO MUCH HARDER, so I assume they're doing something to work my muscles more. Any good/bad experiences with them? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

words of wisdom and motivation anyone?
Help! I've been doing so well over the last few months, but last week I threw my back out and have taken the week off from exercise. I also, surprise surprise! took the week off from logging my food! I actually lost a pound, (weird) but I feel awful and sluggish and having a hard time getting back to the gym and back onto…

starvation mode
How much at risk am I at actually slowing down my metabolism if I'm not eating my calories that I earn from a workout? Has anybody actually experienced this? How do you know it's happening? The reason I ask is that I've stopped losing weight even though I'm consistently at a deficit of calories each day.

Where is the extra sugar coming from?
Hi! I'm pretty new to this page, this is the first time I've used the "chat" tool, I'd like to find some friends/support on here eventually...I'm sure that really helps! Anyway, for the past month I've been logging in my food each day. I eat, what I think, is a very healthy diet. But it seems that always by lunch I'm…

coconut oil
This may have been brought up previously, but where can I find coconut oil to cook with? I didn't see it in the grocery store today. Do I have to go to a health food store to find it?
