Cholestrol?
Hi, Hope someone can help me? I thought that cholestrol should be below 5 - mine is 6.01 but the doctor is not concerned: The figures are Triglycrides - 1.33, HDL 2.51, LDL 2.90 and then it says serum chol/hdl ratio 2.4. So, I'm thinking of starting this, but I admit to feeling a bit nervous about cutting the amount of cardio I do and the calorie burn that goes with it - anyone got any success stories to keep me motivated?

Weights...for a bit of a wimp!
Hi I run 3/4 times a week and i'm pretty much at goal and I now want to try and get some muscle definition - particularly in arms, which are thin but not very strong, back and core. I'm a gym member and have some hand weights at home - what is a good way to start with weights? Is Ripped in 30 days good enough for an intro?

Fat!
Been low carbing for about 4 days and I've found my fat percentage is much higher - I'm assuming this is normal? Do others in a similar position change their fat allowance accordingly on the MFP data - if that makes sense? Don't like seeing myself in the red!!

Hey Peeps - just been to docs and my blood cholesterol was high over all - but the bad cholesterol was lower than is worrying and the good cholesterol was higher than average - I got all confused, should I still be trying to lower it, or is it fine cos it's the good one? Heart rate!
How are you meant to manage your heart rate? I don't run particularly fast, I push but not too hard and my heart rate is sky high! It comes down quickly, but should I be worried?

Need to sort my diet out! Don't think I eat enough 'good stuff' to keep me going strong on long runs. If you were going on a 12 mile run in an afternoon - what would you eat for lunch? Was totally drained today! P.S I don't like peanut butter! :drinker:

Been good....
and nothing...Was hoping my first week would give me a bit of a boost! I've exercised every day kept below my calories (but not massively - no starvation mode) I haven't drunk alcohol, I've had lots of water and I've eaten a healthy range of foods and I've lost....nada, zip, zilch, zero.... BOOOOOO!
