Road to trail running
So one of my running partners has got me into trail running and I really enjoy it, but my pace is at least a 1-2 minutes slower! Is that normal? I feel so much better after trails than pavement. For example, ran 13 miles road then couple weeks later 12 mile trail run, I ached so much more from road, but really had more…

NSV - 10 miler DONE!
So my friend thinks I could be inspirational to others and wants me to share "my story" with others. I promised I'd share once I finished my race Saturday so here it goes...... I've always been a bit "chunky" growing up. In fact, my father had no problem telling me I had fat feet and at seventeen I was voluptuous in my…

I've suffered from shin splints and got the right shoes and finally those feel pretty good, so last night I went for a 6 mile run ( which I've been…

I chose to make this change after a VERY stressful pregnancy with gestational diabetes and starting to go into HELLP syndrome, luckily my…

Hot chocolate Chicago
Okay so I ran my first 5k last Saturday, it was a color run and my only goal was to not walk. I did it! Even more surprisingly, I liked it!! So now I'm registering for the hot chocolate race in Chicago and wondering if any newbies to running are out there and gonna be running this race??

Running-am I doing this right???
Okay so I've been running ( or what some of you would consider jogging 12min mile) since mid-July. I completed the c25k program the first week of October and ran my first 5k on October 5th. My goal for that race wAs to not walk and I did it! So a friend said keep signing up for races so you won't stop running. So I have…
