Utah Gym Buddy!
I realize this is a very specific request, but I'm trying to find a gym buddy (since my husband has a hard time getting there with me), to go with me to work out at the 24 Hour Fitness in Provo, UT. It's becoming extremely hard for me to get there by myself since I feel very self-conscious going alone and I think it would…

Sad to say...
I have a very small amount of friends, but I would love to have some more people that I can count on. Please feel free to add me! I'm on nearly everyday and I'm always good for encouragement or advice (however little I may be able to give you). Thanks!! :)

C25K Treadmill Version Question
I'm going to be starting the C25K program on the treadmill next week. I feel like this may be a stupid question and I should probably already know the answer, but for those who have done or are doing the C25K program for the treadmill and you make the speed go up and down when you switch between walking and running, do you…

Which is best?
I've been contemplating getting a game system with a fitness type game for Christmas this year. I want one that is fun, but really will be a workout to break up the monotony of normal exercising. What I need is some advice/opinions from those of you MFPers who have tried these games or still use them and let me know which…

Advice for a (Sort of) Running Beginner
When I was down at my lowest weight, I used to go running/jogging almost everyday of the week and thoroughly enjoyed it and never got sick or winded. Now that I've gained a lot of weight, running is really hard since I haven't worked out consistently in a long time. So, my question is for the runners who are veterans or…

HRM Advice ... Again
I posted a topic a long time ago when I started using MFP about HRMs, but I ended up not having enough money to afford it at that time. Now, I finally can buy one so I'll ask again--which HRMs are the best/most accurate? Thanks in advance. :)

My Very First NSV! :)
Today when I was getting dressed for the day, I picked up a pair of pants that have been tight to wear for the last few months. I couldn't wear them or I'd feel like I was getting cut in half and couldn't breathe very well. I decided to try them on because I've lost a few pounds and I've been working out regularly with the…

Need Advice on Picking Heart Rate Monitor
So, I've recently discovered that heart rate monitors are probably the best way to track the calories I'm actually burning during a workout. I have no idea where to start looking, what brands are better, and how to find one at a reasonable price that isn't a piece of junk. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.…

Young Moms with a lot to lose
Just thought I'd give a shout out to any of the other young moms out there that also have a lot to lose. I'm really excited to start the weight loss journey, but it would be awesome to have some more people just like me as friends to bounce off ideas with and talk to if I'm struggling. I've tried several times to lose…

How to Deal...
So I've been married for just over 4 years and my husband and I have gotten in a pretty big weight gaining rut because of the crap that we eat all the time. I've recently decided that I'm sick of eating junk all the time and want to eat healthier and exercise a lot more since I have an office job and it makes me feel…

Scale Obsession
I just started with MyFitnessPal a week ago, and now I feel like I can't stay off that damn scale. I know you're only supposed to weight yourself once a week, but I'm having a really hard time doing that. Anybody else with this problem? How did you overcome the urge to weigh yourself?

Working nights and now I can't fall asleep
I usually work at night from 4 PM-Midnight, sometimes 1 AM, and now every time the weekend rolls around, or I have a day off any day during the week, I'm still staying up til the same time I would normally work. I know to help weight loss, you're supposed to sleep at least 7 hours a night, but with my 3 year old I end up…

Jillian Michaels Workouts...
I've seen a lot of posts about how awesome Jillian Michaels workouts are--even if they're hard and kick your butt lol. Just wondering if people have preferences on which ones they use or which are more effective?

New to MFP
Hey everyone  I found MFP about a month or so ago, and I finally have started being honest with myself and taking a really good look at what I'm eating and actually logging it. It's hard to be completely honest with what you eat, especially when sometimes it's just a bunch of junk. But, I think this site is really…
