Thank you LIN. I didn't expect a reply so quickly! which means I can eat the sprouts for lunch. I've been looking things up as well and couldn't find any adverse reactions to sprouts or clementines.
Just a warning about going out in the sun, so I must put sun screen on my grocery order this week because I burn easily.
Will you be having a quiet day with your art? I don't mind quiet days except they aren't exactly quiet when stray dogs pass Jilly's domain.
    Thank you again. Hugs.
    Anne.

Hi Anne, yes, a day at home. I will watch both services at church. I will do some cooking and actually may read a book today and fuss with my little sprouting seeds. 🙋🏼‍♀️

I am with you regarding the sun. I have not been outside without long sleeves and long pants and some kind of hat or cap for years. Quite a difference from cooking in the sun in a little bathing suit as a young person.

I will think of you and Jilly’s bark-warning system today.

Happy Easter Sunday! :) I don't have much time but wanted to check in. We are watching Mass at noon at Rob and Lisa's because the little ones have the sniffles and I am still a little congested from my booster. I have ordered the dinner for pickup after Mass and my son's father will be joining us.
Have a wonderful Easter even if alone, count your blessings and mostly good health.
    Love you sneakers.

I've just phoned Michael and he sounds dreadful. Says he feels pretty ill. So much for having the booster shots I think. He hasn't a clue how he caught this bug with him being so careful.

LIN, I think I will be joining you in the long sleeves when outside for long periods. I've just bought two M&S short sleeved tops for summer. One I'll keep for indoor wearing, but Mary Jo liked the other so I've passed it on to her. Life it is a-changing.

A pleasant quiet day after walking across the top moor in a cool breeze with George and Betty. There were some gorgeous day old lambs cavorting near the road that immediately had me worrying for their future… too many crazy driver visitors around. I’ve planted spinach in a half buried pot and also Black Russian kale is now in the ground under protective netting. My noisy neighbours were particularly rowdy so after lunch I stayed in and made some phone calls to friends.

After my melanoma surgery I was advised to wear long sleeves on sunny days but also make use of factor 50 sun creams so as not to become a recluse so I do my best to be sensible.

I’m sorry to read Michael is feeling so awful Anne but I understand without the booster people are ending up in hospital so it’s probably a good thing he did get one.

We’ve had some rain and with it, colder air so we are back to heaters on. ☹️

Happy Monday! :) As you can see we had a great Easter. It was chilly but still took our pictures outside. The kids were not dressed up because they were outside a lot. Charlie dressed herself as you can tell. lol
We watched Mass together at noon and then I picked up the food and some Mc Donald's for the kiddos.
Rob's dad doesn't stay anywhere to long so we ate early but he did stay a couple of hours and enjoyed seeing us since it has been a long time do to the pandemic. He is not a healthy man and really needs to lose about 100 pounds but doesn't try hard enough. I lectured him and called him later to apologize but he was fine and understood.
Today I ordered groceries for pick up because I just don't feel like going in the store. I also have to go to T Mobile to fight about my bill. They offered a free tracker except for tax when we got Babe's phone but none of us want it so Cheryl and Babe brought it back within the time period but they told her it would be a $30 restocking fee so she declined since the item was a $60 item that supposedly was free. On my bill they are charging me $5 a month to use the tracker and they never told me that. I was so angry on the phone I hung up on the girl and she called me back to apologize and told me to go the manager and explain. I will try that today because I can't just cancel the service for 24 months which means I would be paying $120 for nothing. I would rather pay the $30 restocking fee although they should just take it back for nothing. Ugh!!

Anne, sorry you are having trouble logging on again. Not sure what the problem is but it could be a MFP problem. I do hope Michael is feeling better but Jackie is right without the vaccine things could be much worse. When I had Covid I felt awful for about two days and even now with the booster I am a little congested but would rather this than end up in the hospital. I will self test again today because I am donating blood tomorrow and have a dental cleaning Wednesday.

Hello to everyone else and enjoy your day.

Hello. We had a day of on/off snow yesterday! I got caught up in reading another book and watched the Easter services online. So that was yesterday.

I did cook a few things so have leftovers. My latest batch of broccoli sprouts are ready and in the refrigerator now and I cleaned some raw veggies this morning. Now I just have to combine some things and heat them up. Good to go!

I am now working on several new card designs. So far, no progress. 😊 But I will persevere. 👍🏻👍🏻

Sandy, I love the Easter pictures. I love Lisa’s bunny slippers and I like Charlie’s outfit, especially her boots. It sounds like you had a good time. Good luck resolving the issue with the phone company. They can really eat up your time (and good humor). Seems they are a bit odd and testy right now!

Anne, I am sorry you are having trouble logging in again. But you did post at least one sentence. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Best wishes on getting back again.

Jackie, lovely that you planted spinach and kale. It will be handy to have those veggie raised beds at home. You can go outside and plant something in just a few minutes and all supplies and tools are at hand. My seedlings are not doing well. I don’t know what is wrong with them. I think I may unplug the germination mat and just let them try to make it with the little light I have set up over them. Well, it is still early and I can pop some seeds into pots later on. We have lots of cold and wet weather in the forecast, so that won’t be any time soon.

Patsy, I hope you and John and Katie had a good Easter Day together.

Hello Barbie, Joy, Diane and all other Sneakers.

    Be safe.

Hello sneakers friends. It’s early evening and having just eaten a jacket potato, baked beans and an egg I’m doing my best to sit upright in my garden room to ease my aching back. We walked to the next village this morning then, because it was overcast and cool, I set to and washed down my shower room, then the kitchen floor. Whizzing around with the vacuum cleaner when I got a text message from Linda telling me she and her son were on their way to deliver a large Hebe shrub that had outgrown her garden. It was as well Daniel came along because carrying it down my garden to where it would be planted wasn’t easy but he managed and I’ve since dug a large hole and planted it. It does look sad at the moment but hopefully, if I leave it to settle in, it will survive.
This afternoon I continued with the creation of the mini allotment and have almost completed the 2nd raised bed that I’ll grow climbing beans and spring onions in.

Fabulous photos Sandy. The kids look terrific and I especially love Charlie’s outfit which shows she has an individual spirit!
I’m sure you nagged Rob’s dad because you are concerned. He certainly makes you look tiny!

Lin, I noticed on a wider satellite weather picture that large swaths of white were covering you, Sandy and Anne and sometimes I think seeds know it isn’t the right climate to be popping up. Last year everything I tried to grow was late because our wet winter took forever to disappear. Gardening is a game of patience!

Odd that Anne got on to the site for only one line. I do hope Michael is ok and she isn’t worrying too much.

Time to wash up and see if I have the energy to vacuum my bedroom because that’s where the vacuum cleaner was parked when Linda and Daniel arrived!

    Cute Easter bunny teapot Lin!

Hello Patsy and John. Is it this evening that Damon arrives?

Hi also to Barbie, Diane and Joy.

My concerted effort to lose 8 lbs begins in the morning!
    Jackie 🥰

Well I'm back, just a temporary hiccup I guess. We had a nice day, just the Bean and I yesterday. Did quite a bit of texting, mainly with Michael. I guess he's maybe a little worse than you SANDY because this is his 5th day of mainly a sore throat and a persistent cough. He can't talk long on the phone without coughing.
Haven't the children grown! Soon be as tall as you! It seems you and yours are the only ones in our little group to have spent the day in the traditional family way.

Derek text me to say thank you for my part in his new dinner service. He seemed very thrilled with it and very surprised we'd treated him to it his Mom, Mary Jo, said.

I'm supposed to go to the clinic for the walk in blood tests [no appointments needed] but no sign of Mark and I know he can't drive me there tomorrow because its his day for physio. Suits me, me being the worlds biggest coward. Plenty of time before I go to the docs again for the results.

We are back to chilly weather. Pretty little May will soon be here!

    Annsie.

Just spoken to Michael and his sore throat is much better but not the cough. So worst symptoms are for 5 days. Anne.

Foggy misty rain. The kind of weather that drives one inside and hovering near the coffee pot and the heater. Even Katie wasn’t tempted to plat outside. She did her leap up and catch her ball game. I am to toss her soft fuzzy ball high up and she leaps up to catch it and then twirls around before bringing it back to me. She invented the sequence and now we all know the game.

Easter was very low key but relaxing. We had a nice chat with Damon and Andrea. Damon’s TV series is for Netflix and it is called Rustbelt News. They may change the name and the star might have to share the spotlight with another girl/woman. The network is in the middle of changing things here and there. John and I had our Easter cauliflower pizza. John liked it but not sure I would want this as our traditional Easter meal. Damon is to come next weekend. I left up the little Easter decor and my Lilly is still alive and but I am not sure how long the bloom will last.

In my sad experience, lectures and comments rarely generate a change in eating habits. That seems to happen as a personal decision for whatever reason. It can cause resentment and guilt if too caustic. I can’t imagine you, Sandy, ever being caustic or mean. Only concerned and worried. We all have that reaction to family members that we see making bad choices. Also like smoking-alcohol-drugs-food choices. Anything can be over done and become a detriment.

Easter was interesting in one way. Watched the big Easter mass and even over TV I felt the anxiety that people are feeling. I don’t think I have ever seen this level of sadness and fear before. To come out of this we really need self talk and healthy attitudes. I am dancing as fast as I can…Shirley McLean.

Anne, I think I have what is known as long term Covid because I still have a cough as well. I actually home tested again today because I was very congested this morning and I am donating blood tomorrow and have a teeth cleaning Wednesday. Test was negative, thank goodness. The kids had sniffles so I might have picked it up from them.

I did not go to T Mobile today as someone from T Mobile called me and was trying so hard to smooth things over. She suggested I talk to the manager at the store I got the tracking device so I called and he won't be in until tomorrow.

More closet cleaning, four bags went to the good will box yesterday.

By the way, I had all items ordered when I picked up my groceries. :D

Oh SANDY I hope you don't have "long term" Corvid! If you are run down maybe skip the blood donating and concentrate on getting back to your old self?
Wow four bags of clothes gone to the Goodwill!
Spring cleaning for Sandy. Whilst here:
The weather has turned atrocious! Marks just text me a picture from his window. It started with rain, turned to sleet, and now its a full blown snow blizzard. Spring, where art thou!
    Annsie, brrrrrrr.

:) Today begins three days of a neighborhood dumpster and yard waste event. Jake got a huge burst of energy on Sunday and cleared out things in the garage that have been sitting there doing nothing since we moved into this house in 2011. I have been working in the yard and boxing and bagging yard waste so we'll have a lot to get rid of in this easy spring cleaning event. We don't have a pickup truck so Jake borrowed a small tarp to lay in the back of our SUV. it will take several trips but the garage will look so much better. We finally decided to buy a table and chairs for the patio. Until now, we have been content with a standing umbrella and four canvas fold up chairs. Jake is the one who likes to sit outside and he has visions of sitting around the table with friends. I go outside to walk dogs or to work so the table won't be much use to me. We have rarely had people over and the pandemic has made visitors even less likely but I have to remember that life is not all about me.

:) We had two hailstorms last week that left the ground white. The picture below was taken in April a few years ago but looks like it could have been taken last week.

Happy Tuesday ! :) The sun is shining but still very cold. I cancelled my blood donation as I still feel a little congested especially in the morning. Better to be safe than sorry. I do think it is probably allergies and will get an allergy pill to see if that works. I will be going to T Mobile today so wish me luck.
Sitting later so another busy day with more to follow. We go to the casino Monday-Wednesday, God willing everyone is healthy to go. I cleaned out my closet yesterday and put my winter clothes in my spare bedroom closet and Babe's clothes into my walk in closet. Everything is neat and tidy with the new hangers I bought to save room. Next to tackle will be cleaning out my dresser drawers and more donations. I have two ottomans that hold sheets and swim suits so those also will get a cleaning.
I am taking my time doing this because it gets too tiring and I have time.

Barbie, nice idea with the dumpster and yard waste event. Tell Jake to take it easy and not to overdo.
I also like sitting out on my balcony when the weather is warm, especially when my hummingbird comes to visit. You do so much walking and other activities you get plenty of fresh air. It would be nice to sit with Jake outside and settle the world problems. lol You can keep that white stuff but I will take the pup.

Anne, oh no, more snow? We are all so ready for spring but Mother Nature isn't listening. I hope Mike is feeling better and I do hope you get in for that blood work.

Patsy, yes, I know better than to try and control people but he was fine with listening. He has so many health problems we are all surprised he is still living. I was just trying to encourage him a little. All is good. You have an exciting weekend coming up with Damon visit, enjoy!!

Hello to everyone but I have to get moving to get things done today. Have a great day.

Hello friends. I’m sitting in my garden room sipping tea while I wait for lasagna to bake. Lots of fresh air means both George and Betty have fallen asleep next to me after their evening snacks. A short walk this morning then I drove to the centre of St Cleer where Linda lives to take us to our favourite eatery by the local lake. They bake delicious cakes so there went the start of my healthy eating regime! We sat for a couple of hours inside because we still have a chilly wind, putting the world to rights, especially the bully at the allotments! Linda says it is doing her good to exercise her brain in dealing with the problems he causes whereas I have decided enough is enough because the local authority doesn’t appear interested. I will finally give notice to quit my plot and offer anything left to Linda. She is finding more members who aren’t happy with the bully so she won’t be alone in fighting the good fight!
It’s been a beautiful, sunny day and this afternoon I cut all the grass, chopped back a couple of vicious hawthorn branches that fought back, scratching my arm, and pruned a large buddleia. Peas are planted in the strip of guttering to put in the ground once they become established and that was my afternoon. Looks like another lovely day tomorrow so I can hopefully finish building the 2nd raised bed then get back to pottering in my garden. Lots of blossom appearing on azaleas, fruit trees and a Choisea shrub so a definite sign of Spring.
I’ve just noticed a tray of sunflowers and another with red dwarf beans are sending up shoots. This heated pad was the Best Buy!

I’ll prepare salad to accompany the lasagna and plan an early night so I can be up early and out with the pooches to avoid all the visitors.

    Happy Tuesday everyone.
    Jackie 🥰
